Where will you put your MONEY?

Dear all,

In this blog Mohanji underlines how important it is to be aware of where we apply our energy. Second, he makes it clear where to invest our energy and how to become really rich. By adding value to our own life each day through good and benevolent thoughts, words and action. By investing in awareness.

Being happy and peaceful with oneself is the biggest blessing any person could ever have in life.

Where there is energy, there is LIFE.

Where there is energy, that becomes LIFE.

Little Albert went to the wise man again. Evening after evening, after a brief stint of soccer with friends after school, on his way home from the ground, he stopped at the small house where the old man lived. Initially, it was just curiosity about the man and to see his toothless laughter. Later, as he grew older, he liked the small snippets that flowed as pearls from the old man.

He had no relatives or friends, yet how happy he was! Albert understood at a very early age that being happy and peaceful with himself is the biggest blessing any person could ever have in life. The old man’s inner happiness invariably reflected on his face, too. The beauty of deep inner peace was well written on his face.

It never occurred to Albert to ask where he came from or where his people are. He was satisfied with the present scenario and he enjoyed a lot of peace whenever he met the old man.

A strange surge of hope and optimism welled in his chest whenever he stepped into the small space on the side of the village road. Albert lived in a small village about thirty minutes away from the nearby town. It was a peaceful village, scarcely populated.

In the world of dualities, do not put your money on emotions, ego and intellect. Put it on selflessness. Be a beacon of light. Be self-sufficient. Let your money grow.

Years went by. Albert completed his studies in school and had to leave the village and migrate to the town to continue his education. The evening before he left, he came to the old man yet again and gave him some bread and cheese to eat. He told him that he would be leaving for the town the next day.

The old man smiled and said, “You are not leaving, Albert, only your body is.” Albert thought for a while. He mused over the what the old man said. He understood. It was true. Over the years, this old man had been the source of his deep inner peace and grounding. How could his soul leave the source? Yes, only the body was going. This understanding gave him a deeper solace and silence.

While leaving, the old man said, “Bless you, Albert. In the world of dualities, do not put your money on emotions, ego and intellect. Put it on selflessness. Be a beacon of light. Be self-sufficient. Let your money grow.” Albert left with a rich heart. The next day, he left for the town.

Every cell of his consciousness soaked in the beautiful energy of the old man. He literally felt transformed.

As the old man said, Albert never left the old man. He constantly remembered him and whenever he did, he was rejuvenated beyond any doubt. The source did exist and it did provide! Day by day, each word the old man uttered made more and more sense to Albert.

Even though their conversations had been limited, each word added value to Albert’s life. He understood this point very well. It is not emotions, but utility that makes life richer. Your relevance is your choice. If you are valuable to many, your life is richer. If you keep your energy in selflessness, life is richer, and the energy is well-used.

Albert longed for Christmas to arrive. He rushed to his village as soon as the holidays started. The first thing he did was to visit the lonely old man in his house. As he arrived after dark, a small dim lamp was visible inside the old man’s hut.

Albert peeped in and he saw the unmistakable smile of the old man. He gave him the bread, cheese and some cake that he brought for him from the town. The old man smiled and smiled as he ate. He was visibly happy. Albert also felt fulfillment and his heart welled with a deep purposefulness, too.

While the old man ate, neither spoke, and just looked and smiled at each other. After the food, the old man drank some water and patted Albert on his back in approval and thanks for his kindness towards him. This made Albert feel even better.

Energy-Transform

Selfish desires do not make the heart richer. It is selflessness that delivers richness.

The old man said, “Albert, you have put your money in the right place. It will grow further.” Albert thanked the old man and left for home. Even though he was happy to meet his own parents, sister, and his friends, he was more happy that he could meet the old man everyday, for the next 10 days.

Each day was sheer happiness for Albert. They talked little. Yet it was rejuvenating for Albert. Every cell of his consciousness soaked in the beautiful energy of the old man. He literally felt transformed. He understood how it feels to be self-sufficient. He also understood what ultimately matters in life. He said to himself, “Energy is precious.

It is indeed the Money that this old man is referring to. Life depends on where one actually puts his money. If it is scattered on a number of things, it may all go to waste. If it is put into one or two things, life would become more complete. Only one thing can be enjoyed at one time. In life, there is no speculation. There are only individual truths.

So, if one puts his money (energy) on building up his body, he would grow strong.

If someone does it on making money, he would achieve success. Concentrated energy flow removes obstacles and creates reality. If one concentrates on suffering, he would manifest that in his own life, because that is where he has put his energy.

The deepest wish will be fulfilled because the money will be channelled to that. Selfish desires do not make the heart richer. It is  selflessness that delivers richness.”

Albert understood that he had learned the best lesson of his life from the old man more than all the hours spent in his classroom. The true lessons of life are given free, but we pay a lot of money for unusable knowledge all our life. This is also a truth of our existence which we actually could do something about.

But will we? We always go after glitter and scatter our energy. When nothing gives satisfaction, we complain or dull our senses using intoxication. Some move into pretensions and escapism. What we actually need is clear understanding about where to place our energy. Wherever we place it, it works. So, the choice is ours. This is our free will.

The Christmas holidays gave a rebirth to Albert. He went back with much more clarity and confidence. He created a group of students as part of the discussion board and started sharing his understanding. He lead by example. Adding value to our own life each day through good and benevolent thoughts, words and action, was his simple message.

His accent was on inner richness. He created awareness camps. He created activities to follow through. The group grew into a movement and it spilled into other cities also. Albert had put his money on awareness and it really paid off. He understood that this is the only thing that is worth investing in.

Beloved Family Members

Through this simple story, so many vital thoughts are provoked. Who is Albert? Albert could be you or I. Albert could be our limited mind. Albert could even be our inherent craving for completeness.

Who is the old man? He could be God. He could be Guru or any master. He could be our higher self which delivers completeness to our limited self. The old man is totally undemanding. He is happy with himself. He never imposes himself on Albert. He is selfless and complete.

He has no complaints. He is happy with whatever is given to him or not given to him. He is the personification of fulfillment and completeness. The town or university where Albert goes, is our essential movements of life. His purpose is his spine or pillar of life.

Finding balance internally and adapting to any situation in the best possible way without compromising on our inherent values, is probably one of the key messages. The old man speaks little but each sentence is deep and profound. One could read a lot more than what is actually written. There is much more to it. I recommend that you dive deeper and unearth more jewels from it.

Be blessed
