International Yoga Day 2021

Hello everybody.

June 21st, 2021, World Yoga Day, the solstice day, I would like to wish all of you a great day of health, wellbeing, stability, and success. This day is a reminder of having harmony in life.

What is yoga?

Yoga is to unite you with yourself.

What are the scriptures telling us?

To be united, to stay united, to be powerful, to be stable, to have equilibrium or to have harmony within.

This day, Yoga Day, is a reminder to us that this is what we are. Harmony is what we are; unity and oneness are what we are. First and foremost, we should have oneness with ourselves, not as an individual who has a mind scattered all over. Bring the mind back to yourself, collect yourself, be one with yourself. Then, the next part is to be one with the whole world.

Levitation

We are a bundle of gunas: sattva, rajas, tamas gunas. Sattva is the highest, and tamas is the gravitational pull that we experience all our life. Nobody can avoid gravitation, and everybody’s aspiration is levitation. While we are living in the gravitational plane, we have to aspire for levitation. Levitation does not mean flying. It means the highest possibilities of human existence, that’s the levitation aspect. We have that within us; we already have it.

Inner journey

This whole karmic journey of life (otherwise, there’s no journey) is linear to time – yesterday, today, tomorrow, the day after, last year, this year, next year, that’s the way the karmic journey continues through lifetimes, each life, it continues. Patterns are what we express in each lifetime.

These are all gravitational by nature, but at the same time, we are aware that there is a possibility of higher awareness beyond time and space in unity consciousness. Yoga is a method or first step to connect oneself to oneself so that you can start the inner journey. It is important to start somewhere. We are starting our inner journey by connecting to ourselves.

Traditional yoga

Himalayan School of Traditional Yoga is determined and is formed to have a disciplined life and deliver true, authentic yoga into the world. The whole idea of the Himalayan School of Traditional Yoga is to bring forth the original traditional yoga as handed down by great Masters over time. And they observed, witnessed life as it is, codified that system, and made that into a practice, which basically means we are being reminded of what we have forgotten. We have been reminded of what we actually are, we know it, but we forgot.

Self-actualization

When we connect back to ourselves, we become powerful. We become a unit. When you become a unit, you become powerful; you become invincible. This day is a good day to start a process of self-actualization or connection; just start the connection, and a good day to start a yoga practice.

I wish all of you great health, great harmony and great success in life. Life should not be an existence; it should be a life well-lived.

Bindings

To live a great life, we must come across, or we must completely detach ourselves from the usual binding emotions such as anger, hatred, jealousy, revenge, gossiping, scandalizing, all those kinds of stuff, which are really gravitational and binding, and they are expensive in the karmic path.  We should stay away from all those things and cultivate love within us, deep love, profound love, acceptance, deep acceptance, respect, deep respect. They have to be nurtured within us. First, make it grow within us, and then we give it to the world outside.

Life of positivity

So, whatever we cannot nurture inside, we cannot deliver outside; this is very important to know. Whatever we are delivering outside are things that are already sitting inside. If you’re displaying anger to the outside world, that anger is sitting inside. If you’re displaying hatred to the world outside that is sitting inside.

It’s important we cultivate positive, good stuff, and then we give it forth to the world outside. This is exactly what we have to do, and this is why we are united. We are all together to bring forth harmony, great health, great alignment and great success.

I wish you a great Yoga Day, and I wish you great harmony in life. We are together as one family – One world, One family.

Thank you. I love you.
