On the Tradition of Masters who are married and settled: one person asked George Bernard Shaw, \u201cShould I get married?\u201d He replied, \u201cDefinitely. You should get married.  If you\u2019re very lucky, you\u2019ll have a good life.  If not, you\u2019ll become a philosopher.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To start with, I would like to tell you that I\u2019m a kind of melting pot of various Traditions.  But please understand that in India, all these Traditions are interconnected.  Like for example, there are a lot of rivers but all these rivers are connected internally, underground.  So if you take one Master, such as Babaji \u2013 Babaji is in every Tradition.  You would not see one Tradition where Babaji\u2019s not.  So which Tradition does Babaji belong to?  Difficult to say, because all the Traditions are connected.  And why are there various Traditions?  Because there are various types of people.  Everybody cannot understand or follow every Tradition.  So there are a variety of Traditions, variety of Masters, paths, all reaching the same destination eventually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Encounter with Babaji<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ll brief you about my encounter with Babaji.\u00a0 I think maybe many of you have read my blog, Babaji Beyond Definitions<\/a> (part 2<\/a>,3<\/a>) which is translated into various languages. \u00a0I came to know about this man who is deeply connected to Babaji, called Babaji Boy \u2013 nobody knows his name, really \u2013 everybody calls him Babaji Boy.\u00a0And he is always in meditation.\u00a0If he sits for meditation he\u2019ll get up only after seven days.\u00a0 So I wanted to meet him because I had heard about him and about his deep meditations.\u00a0 So I was curious.\u00a0I was just like any of you.\u00a0I was seeking.\u00a0 I was trying to understand what is true spirituality.\u00a0So I wanted to meet this person.\u00a0 The person who is associated with him said, \u201cMohanji, don\u2019t waste your time.\u00a0You know, if you go there, he may not even look at you.\u00a0 So why are you wasting your time?\u201d\u00a0I said, \u201cI just want to see him.\u00a0 It\u2019s a curiosity.\u201d\u00a0Then he said, \u201cOk, no problem.\u201d\u00a0He gave me the address. This guy is from Malaysia but he was visiting India.\u00a0I had actually landed that morning from abroad and was all too eager to meet him.\u00a0I went to him and he opened the door and said, \u201cI was waiting for you.\u201d\u00a0I was surprised.\u00a0Did he know me?\u00a0Because there was no introduction ever and he\u2019s constantly in meditation.\u00a0There\u2019s nothing you can tell him anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Mohanji<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Please remember this was in early in the year 2000.\u00a0I was not actually praying to Babaji or connecting to Babaji.\u00a0I was actually an ordinary seeker in that context. And he opened the door and said, \u201cI was waiting for you.\u201d\u00a0 And then he said, \u201cBabaji told me yesterday you\u2019re coming and I have something to tell you.\u201d\u00a0I was eager to hear what he wanted to tell me.\u00a0 Then he said, \u201cYou know your problem?\u00a0 Your mind is all over.\u201d\u00a0I said, \u201cOf course, I know that.\u201d\u00a0 This doesn\u2019t need Babaji to tell me.\u00a0Then I said, \u201cWhat do I do with it?\u201d\u00a0 \u201cBabaji tells you that the technique is to split your mind into two. Look at one part of your mind with the other.\u00a0 When one dissolves, the other will dissolve.\u201d\u00a0 I said, \u201cAmazing.\u201d A technique is given \u2013 just like that, casually. That was the beginning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I promise you, I did not understand the story fully.\u00a0I understood the words but I did not understand the meaning.\u00a0How do you split your mind into two?\u00a0First of all, you cannot catch the mind to break it into two.\u00a0Then he said, \u201cCome inside.\u00a0Let\u2019s meditate.\u201d\u00a0That was my biggest fear because he wakes up after seven days.\u00a0I cannot sit for 15 minutes.\u00a0 [Laughter]\u00a0 I went inside because I could not say no, and he immediately sat down, closed his eyes \u2013 finished!\u00a0 I\u2019m sitting down looking at him.\u00a0I\u2019m thinking about all the things.\u00a0 I\u2019m listening to the sounds outside.\u00a0Everything was happening in my head, and I didn\u2019t know what to do.\u00a0 I sat for thirty minutes maximum.\u00a0Then I prostrated at his feet.\u00a0He was already gone.\u00a0I prostrated at his feet and left.\u00a0But that gave me one answer \u2013 that Babaji knows me and Babaji\u2019s talking to me.\u00a0 Maybe he couldn\u2019t talk to me directly but I got the message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second part of the story:\u00a0 this is almost 10 days later.\u00a0There was a function.\u00a0They were honoring a few people and they wanted to honor me for my charity activities.\u00a0 And I was really not too keen to get honored, but I was told that Babaji Boy\u2019s coming there.\u00a0 So I thought, \u201cOkay, if I go for this function, I can probably spend some time with him.\u00a0 And I was hoping that he will be awake, not in meditation, so that I can ask him something.\u00a0 I reached there.\u00a0My first question was, \u201cWhere is Babaji Boy?\u201d\u00a0 They said, \u201cBehind the stage, there is a room.\u00a0 He\u2019s sitting there.\u201d\u00a0 I went into the room and as I expected, he\u2019s sitting like this [shows meditation pose, eyes closed<\/em>], cross legged.\u00a0 I didn\u2019t know what to do so I sat in front of him.\u00a0 Suddenly, he opened his eyes, looked at me, nodded and closed his eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That moment \u2013 you must have experienced when you pour soda water in a glass, you see how the bubbles come? \u2013 something like that started happening inside.\u00a0 Quite a lot of bubbles were happening from every cell of my body.\u00a0 I had to sit down in front of him, and there was only me and him.\u00a0 These bubbles were coming and I was losing my awareness. I was kind of getting blurred and blurred and I was losing the consciousness of the environment.\u00a0 Something was happening inside.\u00a0 I had not started splitting my mind at that point in time, because I did not know how.\u00a0 But at one side of my mind I was knowing that the function was happening and they would be calling me to honor me.\u00a0 On the other side, I knew I could not move.\u00a0 So this was kind of a very difficult situation.\u00a0 “What if they call my name? \u2013 one side of the mind is working.\u00a0 And how will I get up and go?”\u00a0 And the second side is, \u201cI don\u2019t want to leave this.\u201d\u00a0 So this was going on and in between I open my eyes and look at him and his eyes are closed, so nothing can happen.\u00a0 So I was just there, waiting for something to happen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"\/<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Inside, I was crying, \u201cSomebody help me.\u201d  There were a few people on the stage, and there was one Saint on the stage.  Suddenly, this Saint came inside.  He walked straight in.  He just brushed my head and he left.  He went back.  This all started subsiding, and I could get up.  Babaji Boy was still in the same state.  Nothing had happened.  I came out and exactly at that point in time my name was called.  They were explaining what I did and all the stuff and said please come on stage.  At that point in time I came on stage, I received the award, and then they said, \u201cWould you like to speak some words?\u201d  By that time I was already occupied in silence.  I said, \u201cNo speech, thank you.\u201d  I just left.  Then I went back to Babaji Boy.  When I entered the room, he was standing up.  His eyes were closed but he was doing some kind of yoga posture.  I was not too interested to see that, because if he had asked me to do the same posture I\u2019d have needed an ambulance to go home.  His one leg was up and one down and his hands were elsewhere.  If I did that I\u2019d be totally dislocated.  (If I remember right, at that time I didn\u2019t have much insurance coverage.  Especially for disability.)  And then he looked at me.  He said, \u201cIt\u2019s over \u2013 go!\u201d  He hardly speaks you know, so these were very precious words.  He said go, okay that\u2019s it.  That itself is good.  That means he acknowledged my presence and he\u2019s allowing me to go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ten days later, he was going to the Himalayas to be with Babaji.\u00a0 I could not meet him in between because it is difficult to meet him.\u00a0 All the time he is in meditation.\u00a0 I wanted to meet him but there was no chance.\u00a0 The evening he was going, I got a call from him.\u00a0 This was a great surprise for me.\u00a0 He said, \u201cI want to meet you.\u00a0 I\u2019m going, I want to meet you.\u00a0 I\u2019m coming to your house.\u201d\u00a0 I thought, \u201cThis is amazing.\u201d\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then I said, \u201cBabaji Boy, can you come for dinner?\u00a0 Let\u2019s have dinner together.\u201d\u00a0 He said, \u201cYes, I\u2019ll come for dinner.\u201d\u00a0 I thought, \u201cMy God, this is like Babaji himself coming.\u201d\u00a0 I was so eager to see him.\u00a0 He came to my home.\u00a0 He said, \u201cI want to talk to you alone.\u201d\u00a0 I said, \u201cSure.\u201d\u00a0 We were in one room.\u00a0 Then he said, \u201cI\u2019m going back to Malaysia.\u201d\u00a0 I said, \u201cI thought you\u2019re going to the Himalayas to meet Babaji.\u201d \u00a0He replied, \u201cYes, Babaji scolded me.\u00a0 He asked me, \u2018Do you think I\u2019m sitting in the Himalayas?\u00a0 Then who is sitting with you?\u00a0 You have to come to the Himalayas to see me?\u00a0 Are you crazy?\u00a0 Go back home.\u2019 So,I\u2019m going back.\u201d\u00a0 He uses one card, one picture of Babaji.\u00a0 That is his passport or his gateway to Babaji.\u00a0 Babaji told him, \u201cGive this to Mohanji.\u00a0 You don\u2019t need it any more.\u00a0 Give this to Mohanji.\u00a0 I will be talking to him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How Babaji started talking to me and how he gave me whatever I have now, this is all written so I don\u2019t want to elaborate, especially since time is short.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"\/<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

A message from Babaji’s Guru, Bhoganathar<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Last year, one of my followers, a chartered accountant, visited a Master.\u00a0 This Master is deeply connected to the Siddha Tradition, which Babaji is part of. \u00a0He\u2019s 70 plus years old.\u00a0 When this Master saw this person, he asked, \u201cWho\u2019s your Guru?\u201d\u00a0 He said, \u201cMohanji.\u201d\u00a0 \u201cAh, I was waiting to talk to him.\u00a0 I have something to tell him.\u201d\u00a0 And he spoke about me and even about Mila, my daughter.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then the Master said that Babaji\u2019s Guru, Bhoganathar, had been asking him to contact me.\u00a0\u00a0 He said, \u201cBhoganathar wants to talk to him.\u00a0 I must speak to Mohanji.\u201d\u00a0 Normally, nobody has my number.\u00a0 My phone number is not available.\u00a0 So this chartered accountant contacted our people and said this person is asking for Mohanji\u2019s phone number, can we give it?\u00a0 I said, \u201cGive it to this person.\u00a0 It\u2019s fine.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"\/<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

He calls me and says, \u201cI have important information for you.  Bhoganathar wants to get back to you and remind you of your days with him.\u201d  Then he gave me a mantra, which is a particular mantra.  This is for me to connect to Bhoganathar.  He said, \u201cForty-one days you should chant this.  After that, Bhoganathar will start talking to you.\u201d  I could not sit down for 41 days, not even for 41 hours.  So till now it has not happened.  I have kept the mantra.  I do have intention to sit down in some corner and chant, but schedules are not permitting so far.  And then this Master told me we must meet, I was also with you in that life.  Of course, I could not get much time to meet him, but then I met him in December last year.  We had a very, very detailed discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One question I asked him:\u00a0 \u201cTell me whether my understanding is true.\u00a0 Bhoganathar was clear that Babaji is an Avatar of Lord Muruga, son of Shiva.\u00a0 Was he clear?\u201d\u00a0 He said, \u201cYes, you\u2019re absolutely right.\u201d\u00a0 He was an Avatar, and it was just like Sandipani Maharshi knowing that Lord Krishna was an Avatar.\u00a0 There was nothing to teach him – he already knew everything.\u00a0 But to keep the Tradition going, they attended with the Gurus and the normal path of learning. \u00a0But they were all enlightened by birth.\u00a0 They were all Avatars.\u00a0 Just like Adi Shankara. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Adi Shankara at the age of eight, went to Govindapada, Govindapada asked him, \u201cWho are you?\u201d\u00a0 Then he replied, \u201cMano buddhyahankara chittani naham, Na cha shrotra jihve, na cha ghrana netre, Na cha vyoma bhumirna tejo na vayuhu, Chidananda rupah shivoham shivoham<\/em>.\u201d\u00a0 \u201cI\u2019m not the mind.\u00a0 I\u2019m not the body.\u00a0 I\u2019m not the organs of action.\u00a0 I\u2019m not the organs of perception.\u00a0 I am Shiva.\u201d\u00a0 If you can talk like this at the age of eight, what will you learn from anybody?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A communion with Babaji<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Babaji<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

So later on of course, one incident I remember was when I was having a communion with Babaji. I was so expanded.\u00a0When Babaji speaks to you, there is one advantage.\u00a0You cannot even move your finger. Forget about your mind wandering.\u00a0Your mind itself is dissolved.\u00a0 You can\u2019t even move your finger.\u00a0It will be like just reception.\u00a0That\u2019s it.\u00a0So at one point in time I was feeling overwhelming love for everything.\u00a0 Just love.\u00a0I couldn\u2019t even contain the love \u2013 too much love.\u00a0I told Babaji, \u201cBabaji, you know something, I really love you.\u201d\u00a0Babaji said: \u201cCut that nonsense.\u201d\u00a0 Later on I understood various dimensions of Babaji, just like I said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sage Bhoganathar<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

When Sage Bhoganathar, the great Siddha, wanted to make the idol of Lord Muruga in the temple of Palani, Babaji was his model.\u00a0 Lord Muruga is called Kumara.\u00a0 He\u2019s not growing beyond sixteen.\u00a0 He arrested his growth at sixteen.\u00a0 And that you can see in the Nath Tradition very distinctly, which I\u2019ll explain later.\u00a0 Bhoganathar combined the 9 poisons in a particular order, and created the idol of Lord Muruga based on Babaji because he is the Avatar.\u00a0 There was no other model needed to create Muruga.\u00a0The 9 poisons were mixed together in such a way to cure every disease \u2013 all diseases.\u00a0 Even now, if you go to the temple of Palani, they do abhisheka<\/em>.\u00a0 They pour milk over the idol and they give you the milk.\u00a0 That is supposed to take away all the toxins from the system.\u00a0This is one example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nath Tradition<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Nath Tradition<\/a> is one of the most powerful Traditions of India.\u00a0 As I said earlier, there is a connection between all Traditions, through the underground.\u00a0 Outside it all looks like different rivers, but inside it\u2019s the same water.\u00a0Nath Tradition has its origin from Lord Krishna.\u00a0 When Lord Krishna was leaving his body, knowing that after leaving his body his teachings could get destroyed, he told Lord Dattatreya to codify the Nath Tradition. He asked the nine Narayanas, which are actually his own sequential parts, to come to Earth and attain the bodies of Navanath \u2013 nine Nath Gurus.\u00a0 And in that Tradition, Adinath is Lord Shiva, and Balaknath is Babaji.\u00a0 When I met Avadhoota Nadananda . . .\u00a0 I think some of you have read the Autobiography of an Avadhoota<\/a> \u2013 a very, very powerful autobiography.\u00a0 If you haven\u2019t read you should read it.\u00a0 A man\u2019s quest from atheism \u2013 not believing in God \u2013 to the Pontiff of Gyanganj.\u00a0 Great journey.\u00a0 That book is available in Serbian language too.\u00a0 You must read it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our job is to empower you<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Nath Gurus<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

When I met Avadhoota Nadananda, he asked me one question.\u00a0 \u201cWhy did you come here?\u00a0 What do you want from me?\u201d\u00a0 I said, \u201cI just wanted your blessings.\u00a0 I came to see you.\u201d\u00a0 I never go to any Master requesting something because that\u2019s the silliest thing you can do.\u00a0 If you go to a Master and ask for something, he may give it, but if you\u2019re supposed to get a Mercedes why do you settle for a cheap car? Might as well keep the mouth shut and receive.\u00a0 Every true Master understands who is coming in front of them and knows what to give.\u00a0<\/strong>If a Master doesn\u2019t know what to give, that means he is operating at the same level as the person who has come. I have tested this. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Actually, I\u2019m very, very naughty with this kind of stuff.\u00a0 I went testing one Master \u2013 an 80-year-old man.\u00a0 He has his own helicopter.\u00a0 He\u2019s so busy he flies.\u00a0 To meet him is a big problem.\u00a0 One of the people said you must meet my Guru and he took me.\u00a0 I said I will come, I will not tell who I am.\u00a0 And I was in jeans and t-shirt and bandana and all that kind of stuff.\u00a0 So no way can they think I\u2019m somewhere connected to spirituality.\u00a0 They will think probably I\u2019m a musician or somebody crazy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was sitting down.\u00a0 A lot of people were sitting.\u00a0 I sneaked in and sat in one corner.\u00a0 He was talking to everybody.\u00a0 Suddenly he looked at me.\u00a0 He asked, \u201cWho are you?\u201d\u00a0 I said, \u201cI just came for your blessings.\u201d\u00a0 Then he started talking.\u00a0 Again, he looked at me.\u00a0 \u201cWho are you?\u201d\u00a0 Something was bothering him.\u00a0 He was not leaving me.\u00a0 Then he held my hand for some time.\u00a0 \u201cAh, no mind.\u00a0 You have arrived.\u00a0 Why are you sitting here?\u00a0 What do you want from me?\u201d\u00a0 What I\u2019m saying is, if you go to any Master, actually you don\u2019t need to ask anything.\u00a0 They understand.\u00a0 They give to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mohanji and Avadhoota Nadananda in Shirdi<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

So with Avadhoota Nadananda, I said, \u201cI need nothing, I just need your blessings.\u201d\u00a0 Then he said, \u201cI will get the information.\u201d\u00a0 And Gyanganj especially, is a place where you cannot go.\u00a0 It\u2019s actually a location in Tibet, but even if you ask the monks in Tibet they will say there is nothing like that.\u00a0 But there is<\/em> a place where great Masters are meditating and that place belongs to numerous Masters who have been on Earth but relocated, kind of, after death, after attaining samadhi<\/em>.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Various Masters are existing in that realm and that is the causal layer of the Earth.\u00a0 Causal layer is where everything starts from, that is where all the seeds are sitting, all the impressions.\u00a0 So this is where whatever Traditions happening in this world have a root, there in Gyanganj.\u00a0 And Nadananda was the Pontiff of Gyanganj.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I didn\u2019t want to express too much about what I do, to Nadananda, because he\u2019s a great Master.\u00a0 He\u2019s a Pontiff.\u00a0 I just prostrated at his feet and took his blessings.\u00a0 And then he said, \u201cI will get information.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next day, he suddenly comes into the room and says, \u201cI want to honor you.\u00a0 Babaji told me, \u2018We sent him there.\u2019 \u201d\u00a0 So that Babaji is Mahatapa.\u00a0 He\u2019s known as Mahatapa in the Avadhoota Tradition.\u00a0 In Gyanganj, Babaji is known as Mahatapa.\u00a0 So we know Balaknath, Mahatapa, Lord Muruga are all one person.\u00a0 Different costumes or different manifestations, but it\u2019s all same.\u00a0 I was hearing about Gyanganj for the first time.\u00a0 Then it went on \u2013 like that it went.\u00a0 He honored me<\/a>, etc.\u00a0 And then it was in June last year that I had an invitation to inaugurate a restaurant in Shirdi.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"\/<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

I was to be going there and Nadananda was also invited, so we were together.\u00a0 I call Nadananda as \u00a0\u201cGuruji.\u201d\u00a0 So Guruji calls me and says, \u201cMohanji, I want some time alone with you.\u00a0 Can you arrange it?\u201d\u00a0 I said, \u201cGuruji, definitely, we\u2019ll have time together.\u201d \u00a0We had breakfast.\u00a0 Then Guruji said, \u201cLet\u2019s go.\u201d\u00a0 He said nobody was to come along with us.\u00a0 We two were walking.\u00a0 And remember, Guruji has sixth stage cancer.\u00a0 He\u2019s suffering from cancer.\u00a0 He was walking.\u00a0 I was walking.\u00a0 And then while we were walking he was telling me some things casually.\u00a0 But you know what?\u00a0 Whenever a Master speaks I do not ask why he is speaking this, or I do not think.\u00a0 I just listen.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was telling me, \u201cMohanji, you know something?\u00a0 When Baba came to this place there were only some snakes and foxes.\u00a0 Nothing was there.\u00a0 Now you look at all these buildings, all these restaurants, all these hotels, brimming with business.\u00a0 Millions of people are coming here.\u00a0 Remember how many people are eating food in his name.\u00a0 When Baba was here, he was like a wandering beggar.\u00a0 He was visiting houses for food and people were feeding him.\u00a0 He lived a poor man\u2019s life.\u00a0 Today the whole place is brimming with life, activity, money.\u201d\u00a0 He said, \u201cYou know, this is the way we live also.\u00a0 Tomorrow, a lot of people will eat food in our name.\u201d\u00a0 I said, \u201cGuruji, but it\u2019s okay.\u00a0 Why should we worry about it?\u201d\u00a0 \u201cNo, no, I\u2019m just telling you so that you know.\u201d\u00a0 \u201cOk.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"\/<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

I never ask any Master where we are going.\u00a0 I just walk with them.\u00a0 So I didn\u2019t ask Guruji where we were going, and we were walking.\u00a0 And suddenly he said, \u201cMohanji, we\u2019ll not go into the temple.\u00a0 Those who have to see us will come outside.\u201d\u00a0 I said, \u201cOk.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 But I realized something is going on.\u00a0 Some ritual is happening, even though he was not telling me.\u00a0 When we were walking around, we went around the temple, where Shirdi Sai Baba\u2019s body is.\u00a0 Then we went to the water well where Baba used to draw water a hundred years ago.\u00a0 He used to draw water and use it to water the garden.\u00a0 We went there and now that place is closed.\u00a0 You cannot actually go to the water well.\u00a0 When we reached close to it, a security guard came and opened the gate and said, \u201cYou\u2019re welcome to go in.\u201d\u00a0 I was surprised.\u00a0 They don\u2019t even know us.\u00a0 They allowed us to enter.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guruji said, \u201cLook into the well.\u00a0 Can you see your face?\u201d\u00a0 Then I looked and I could see my face.\u00a0 I said, \u201cOf course.\u00a0 In the water you can see your reflection.\u201d\u00a0 I said, \u201cI can see my face.\u201d \u00a0\u201cOk, job done.\u00a0 Come.\u201d\u00a0 We walked and then we sat down in one place.\u00a0 And Guruji was saying, \u201cMohanji, your followers and my followers and all these people – we are thinking we are doing a lot of charity.\u00a0 But what charity is it?\u00a0 There\u2019s always doership.\u00a0 (Means I\u2019m doing something for other people.)\u00a0 That means even there, there is a bit of ego, you know, I like to give to you.\u00a0 You remain poor always so I can keep giving to you.\u00a0 You know, this kind of ego.\u00a0 In fact, if we are delivering something to somebody, there is no somebody.\u00a0 There\u2019s nobody outside.\u00a0 You are actually giving to yourself.\u00a0 There\u2019s nobody outside of you.\u00a0 If that attitude doesn\u2019t happen, charity is not real.\u201d\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I told Guruji, \u201cGuruji, I\u2019m telling this to the world all the time.\u00a0 Whenever you do charity, don\u2019t have doership.\u00a0 Don\u2019t think you<\/em> are doing.\u00a0 You should always have gratitude.<\/strong>\u201d\u00a0 I said, \u201cThis I teach wherever I go.\u201d\u00a0 He said, \u201cOk.\u201d\u00a0 Suddenly he got up and said, \u201cGet up.\u00a0 He\u2019s waiting.\u201d\u00a0 I had no clue who was waiting.\u00a0 We got up and came around the Shiva temple on the other side of the samadhi<\/em> of Baba.\u00a0 There was one man standing there \u2013 very, very thin, very lean, with the hair tied on top like Swamiji,* much more, and just wearing one cloth, nothing much.\u00a0 He looked like a wandering monk, very, very lean \u2013 dark, lean, thin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I did not carry any money, so Guruji took some money from his cloth, gave it to me and said, \u201cGive it to him.\u201d\u00a0 I went, he looked at me and kind of nodded his head.\u00a0 I gave the money, he received it and then Guruji said, \u201cLet\u2019s go.\u201d\u00a0 We walked.\u00a0 This saint looked around 30, the maximum you can say below 40.\u00a0 He looked young.\u00a0 Then later on, while walking, Guruji said, \u201cYou know who this was?\u00a0 This is the Guru of Bhagavan Nityananda, Bhruguram Paramahamsa.\u201d\u00a0 If you read the book ‘Autobiography of an Avadhoota’, you will read this name.\u00a0 He\u2019s the Guru of Bhagavan Nityananda.\u00a0 \u201cHe\u2019s the one who took me to Gyanganj.\u00a0 Now you have given him dakshina<\/em> \u2013 the donation \u2013 you are directly connected to Gyanganj<\/a>.\u00a0 My job is over.\u201d\u00a0 He said, \u201cWhen Shri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa empowered Vivekananda, he did not create a saint, he said he created a lion who could roar in the world.\u201d\u00a0 He said, \u201cWe are empowering you to roar in the world.\u201d\u00a0 I had no clue how to roar but okay.\u00a0 But one thing was clear about all these Masters, like Bhruguram Paramahamsa who had left his body well before.\u00a0 His Guru had been Keenaram Paramahamsa, and Keenaram Paramahamsa empowered Guruji with the siddhis<\/em> of dhoora shravan<\/em> . . .\u00a0 You can hear from a distance, you can see things at a distance, all these things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So all these Masters are working simultaneously.  Tradition is working!<\/strong>  You know, when you become part of the Tradition, there\u2019s nothing for you to do.  He told me, \u201cYour job was to come here.  Our job is to empower you.  Now you don\u2019t have to walk.\u201d  This is the promise of the Tradition.  Please understand.  All<\/em> the Traditions \u2013 including what Swamiji was talking about \u2013 the Tradition is empowering you.<\/strong>  Even the Buddha faced this thing.  Buddha was meditating for a long time and nothing was happening.  Finally he got fed up.  He said, \u201cWhat am I doing?\u201d  Activity was not giving the realization.  Then he said, \u201cEnough is enough.\u201d  He dropped everything.  Then what happened?  Enlightenment happened.  What he felt when he was so expanded and when the leaf fell from the tree : \u201cIt fell through me.\u201d  That means you are beyond your size, you have expanded so much, everything is inside.  So your activity can take you only to a certain level.  Beyond that, it\u2019s Beingness<\/em> that works.  You have to just Be<\/em>.  Tradition helps you.  Tradition empowers you.  It takes you forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Traditions are interconnected.<\/strong>  Why Traditions are different outside is because you have a different orientation.  Each person has a different orientation.  We talk about this path of devotion, path of knowledge, path of activity and path of dissolution.  All these paths are suitable for somebody.  So every path has value.  Every Master has value.  Every Master is delivering something unique.  Never compare.  All Masters are valuable.  Every Master is sent.  And who is the right Master for you?  As per your orientation, what you can do and who guides you, that\u2019s the right one for you.  [Holds up a glass of water.<\/em>]  What is the strength of this glass?  The space.  This is exactly the strength of a disciple.  If you are empty, you are eligible.  If you\u2019re filled with concepts, filled with fears, filled with ideas, filled with prejudices, you have no space for any Master to give you anything.  As I said, I had no clue what to ask any Master.  This was my biggest strength, because if I had asked for something small I would have gotten it probably – some siddhis, for example.  Actually this is one of the things which Babaji told me in my second communion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those days I was practicing.  From 3am to 8am I used to meditate.  I was working as well.  Those days when I looked at a person I could see through the person, all the past lives, future lives.  Everything I could see.  And I had no idea what to do with this information.  Should I tell this person?  A couple of times I tried telling and it became a disaster.  I was a general manager of a company.  They started asking, \u201cAre you some kind of an astrologer?  What are you talking about?\u201d  Then I had to explain too much and I thought this is not good \u2013 better keep quiet.  Then when I had the second communion with Babaji, Babaji said, \u201cLook here, you can actually tell the future of everybody and sit in one corner and everybody will come to hear their future out of insecurity.  Is this what you want to do or would you like to take people to Liberation?\u201d  I said, \u201cDefinitely I would like to take people to Liberation if I can.\u201d  Then he said, \u201cTathaastu<\/em>. [So be it.]  Drop the siddhis.  You don\u2019t need them. Drop them.\u201d  I have never checked if I have any powers afterwards, because I realize having powers is easy but to have the maturity to maintain them is very difficult.  Sometimes you get carried away \u2013 oh, I know all these things so I can probably do something.  That is a trap.  The moment you start using any power, it becomes your trap.  People may appreciate you because you\u2019re extraordinary but that again is a trap.  If you\u2019re walking the path of Liberation, everything is a trap.  So might as well be empty \u2013 nothing.  And the highest feeling you get when you reach a certain stage is that you know nothing.  Then you are home.  Then you are fine.  If you feel you know something, mind is involved.  If you feel you know nothing \u2013 empty \u2013 good enough, you are fine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please remember, only when you have ownership of activity you have karma.\u00a0<\/strong> If you do not have ownership of activity . . .\u00a0 Like Lord Krishna says, \u201cIf you surrender your action and the results of action to me, I release you from the karmic binding.\u201d\u00a0 Same thing.\u00a0 Like Swamiji* was explaining \u2013 what is the state of emptiness?\u00a0 It\u2019s a state where TPS is very low \u2013 thoughts per second is almost nil.\u00a0 Empty state is that you are not thinking when you are sitting in front of the Master.\u00a0 You\u2019re just allowing the Master to operate through you.\u00a0 And also, never judge somebody whose frequency is beyond your imagination.\u00a0 Never criticize.\u00a0 Never try to measure an ocean with an ounce glass.\u00a0<\/strong> If you don\u2019t do these mistakes, you don\u2019t need to do anything else.\u00a0 The Master fills in.\u00a0 Or that is the emptiness \u2013 as I said the strength of the glass is in the space.\u00a0 If the space is not there, then what can a Master give you?\u00a0 So, as a fundamental principle, all you need \u2013 your whole eligibility \u2013 is about being empty.\u00a0 And sometimes you have to unlearn a lot of things for that, because we have collected so much data into the system.\u00a0 Like Swamiji was explaining, the computer is about to crash, so what you need to do is to throw away a lot of stuff, create some space and allow Masters to work through you.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s all you need.\u00a0 And as I said, in my experience, when I was wandering, I was searching, various times I felt, what am I doing?\u00a0 There\u2019s no meaning in action.\u00a0 There\u2019s nothing to do.\u00a0 Just be available.\u00a0 Just be you.\u00a0Then the Master takes care of you.\u00a0<\/strong> You don\u2019t need to do anything.\u00a0 This was the truth which kept coming back to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Encounter with a Guru at Kumbh Mela<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    We\u2019ll just conclude it.\u00a0 You know, she [Devi] comes with me to certain programs, especially like Kumbh Mela, etc., and puts me in the soup.\u00a0 One time, it was in 2010 I believe, we were standing outside.\u00a0 She was with me.\u00a0 And we saw one saint and he resembled Osho very much.\u00a0 I went to him and said, \u201cYou look like Osho.\u201d\u00a0 And he started laughing. \u00a0With his beard and everything, he was looking like Osho and I couldn\u2019t resist it.\u00a0 Then he said, \u201cI came with my Guru.\u00a0 My Guru is here in the neighborhood.\u201d\u00a0 \u201cOh, you have a Guru.\u201d\u00a0 Then he said, \u201cHe\u2019s a very great Master.\u00a0 He\u2019s one of the key Masters of the Kumbh Melas.\u00a0 So if you like to meet him, I\u2019ll take you.\u201d\u00a0 I said, \u201cDefinitely, I\u2019d like to.\u201d\u00a0 So we went, the both of us, and you know, I normally don\u2019t open my mouth in front of Gurus.\u00a0 She<\/em> talks. [Laughter<\/em>]\u00a0 So when we went, he was lying down \u2013 he\u2019s a 90-year-old man \u2013 lying down on a bed.\u00a0 And this ‘Osho’ took us straight to him and asked us to sit next to him.\u00a0 When we sat down, he sat up.\u00a0 He asked, \u201cWho are you?\u201d\u00a0 I didn\u2019t say anything. \u00a0I just bowed down [shows hands in namaste<\/em>].\u00a0 She said, \u201cHe teaches meditation.\u201d\u00a0 [Laughter<\/em>]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    He was looking at me.\u00a0 \u201cWhat meditation are you teaching?\u201d\u00a0 I said, \u201cNothing.\u201d \u00a0Then he started asking me questions, one by one, like a bullet.\u00a0 He was testing me, whether I know something.\u00a0 And in Hindi \u2013 my quota of Hindi is very limited.\u00a0 I answered in Hindi. \u00a0He asked six questions. I answered six questions.\u00a0 Then he smiled, then he tapped me and said, \u201cGood, you have arrived.\u00a0 Eat from my ashram.\u00a0 Go.\u00a0 Take them.\u00a0 Give them food.\u201d\u00a0 Then I told her, \u201cNever, ever, say things like this in front of any Gurus, because we have no clue what they\u2019re going to ask now.\u201d\u00a0 And she was sitting quiet.\u00a0 She was enjoying this game.\u00a0 The moral of the story is never put your head in a lion\u2019s den.\u00a0 One question he asked, I remember, was: what is your purpose?\u00a0 Not exactly what is the purpose of life \u2013 he asked me, \u201cIn spirituality what is your benchmark?\u00a0 What have you set for yourself?\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I said, \u201cMy presence should be more powerful than my teaching.\u00a0 If that is not happening, I\u2019m not worth it.\u00a0 My energy and presence should be powerful enough to transform, rather than my teachings.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0 Then the last question in Hindi that he asked was: \u201cSo what would you like to teach the world?\u201d\u00a0 \u201cNothing,\u201d I said.\u00a0 That he liked.\u00a0 He laughed, actually.\u00a0 He said, \u201cThis is the right path.\u201d\u00a0 He said, \u201cDon\u2019t think that people need to know something.\u00a0 They already know.\u00a0 All you have to do is, with just your emptiness, allow them to reveal themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
