Invitation for Kumbh Mela
Team Mohanji welcomes you to a rare opportunity to participate in the Kumbh Mela 2019, the largest peaceful gathering in the world, in the powerful and transforming presence of our beloved Master Mohanji. About 100 million pilgrims are expected to congregate at the confluence of the three holy rivers; the Ganga, the Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati. The magnitude and scale of this glorious spiritual gathering is awe inspiring and makes for a wonderful, unforgettable experience.
Spiritual Aspect of Kumbh Mela
Astrologically, the Kumbh is a heightened time for purification. The significance of the Kumbh is the massive influx of powerful spiritual energy unleashed by certain planetary alignments. Taking a bath in the holy Ganges, imbued with that power, is said to absolve oneself of all past sins and karmic debt and lead one to a joyful existence and liberation (moksha). When we surrender to the water, we are using the right planetary positions to elevate our consciousness and our awareness. While we are purifying the external body, the inner body is also getting purified.
It is also the time when great saints and spiritual masters come out of seclusion to share their wisdom and blessings and distribute their energy to ordinary pilgrims. This service to mankind is their way of paying their dues to Mother Earth for using a human body.
Significance of Kumbh Mela
There are certain planetary positions which increase the “amrit” element of the earth. The earth is connected to the solar system and the Milky Way, whatever it may be termed as, in the gross level and in the subtle level to numerous other “lokas”. We are thus connected and are interacting with various frequencies at various points in time, some of which we know, and others that we do not.
Just because we do not know about some of them does not mean that they do not exist. They all exist. So we operate in various levels of subtlety. At specific times of a year, certain planetary positions align in a way that the entire energy or frequency is higher on earth. That’s the best time for inner purification. This is referred to as taking a dip and involves a few aspects. One is that we are surrendering to the water. Second while we are purifying the external body, the inner body is also getting purified and third, we are using the right planetary positions to elevate our consciousness and our awareness.
During “Amritmanthan”, it is said that the drops of the Amrit fell at Nashik, Haridwar, Allahabad and Ujjain. Hence these places became more suitable for that aspect and the planetary positions created the effect of Amrit. Amrit should be understood as that which elevates your awareness and gives you moksha. You elevate your awareness when you are not bound by your mind. If you are bound by your mind, you will be judgmental and look at life with a critical eye. Acceptance, continuity of life, peacefulness, love, kindness and compassion are higher levels of awareness.
We take a few dips, first of all for our ancestors because without them we would not exist, then we take a dip for our dear ones who are living, third we take a dip for ourselves, and others associated with us. We can certainly take more dips such as for Gurus and for Gods. So there is surrender in everything and nothing is selfish. We should understand the purpose, and that consciousness is being elevated, awareness increases, and that we move from a state of unconsciousness to a state of full consciousness.

In Mohanji’s Words
Mantras and rituals have power, no doubt and it aligns you. It gives you proper alignment. But purification is very important. That’s why we have karma yoga. There is a rent to pay to earth for occupying the space and gaining experience, we cannot underestimate that. How can you pay the rent? By helping the helpless. Otherwise you can become enlightened, but you cannot leave, because you haven’t paid the rent. You will keep coming back, until you pay the rent. It is important to know; that’s why Adisankara, one of the greatest masters (the Yuga Acharya of the Kali Yuga, our time) told all the saints meditating in Himalayas to come down, during a particular time during Kumbh Mela and distribute the energy to other people as service to the population because, otherwise they cannot leave. Every religion talks about service as purification.
All HIS Grace
One day, a saint visited our camp. Baba Goraknathji (the most famous of the nine Nath saints) communicated through Him.The saint told Mohanji that He was directed by Baba Gorakhnathji to give Shaktipat to Mohanji. As soon as the saint touched Mohanji’s third eye, the saint started shaking uncontrollably and went into a trance. Baba Gorkahnathji started to speak through the saint. The saint started predicting about Mohanji and about the rest of the group… Read More…
Shower of Grace
Once we came out of the water, the smell of Udi/Vibhuti permeated the air and there was no doubt why!! Mohanji looked just like SaiBaba with a towel wrapped on his head and standing under an umbrella, held by a devotee (it was raining – the Gods were showering their blessings). Photos taken during the dip showed blue orbs (indicating divine presence) above Mohanji as he took dips in the river! Little wonder that we felt very complete and satisfied when we left!.. Read More…
Shani Snans in Kumbh Mela
Our alternate route took us through narrow streets that threatened to end in dead ends. But within a few minutes, we realized that where our vehicles stopped were just 5 minutes walking distance from our bathing spot! We proceeded quickly to the ghats – our identified spot seemed to have been “reserved” for us, with hardly anyone around. Our entire group finished the dips (a minimum of 3 dips – for ancestors, for living family members and for oneself – to as many as one wishes) within 20 minutes.. Read More…
BLISS to remember !
It’s been my dream for a very long time to experience the Kumbh Mela in all its glory but I didn’t know I was going to get so lucky when I got to know that I could go there with my Guru Sri Mohanji. I think I did win the lottery there!
There are times in your life when you can sit back and say “That’s it. I don’t want anything more!” that was my state when I came back from this beautiful and sacred pilgrimage.
Why attend Kumbh Mela?
In the Mystical plane, the highest possibility that is open for human beings happens at the time of the Kumbh. This is why all the Saints, Sadhus, Babas and religious leaders congregate at the Kumbh. Apart from the celestial event, the very vibrations of these beings adds to the energy of the Kumbh Ghat.
For people who are spiritual and seek liberation, there is no better place than the Kumbh. Discover the Kumbh and in-turn discover your SELF. There is no other event apart from Kumbh to find your true SELF. In the mass of humanity, you lose all sense of your problems and will find who you truly are.
When millions gather at the Kumbh, their devotion turns the very water into Amrit – the nectar of immortality. Having a dip in this water during Kumbh Mela literally cleanses all your sins. The energy field of the kumbh will literally blast your sins away – like the Ganga flowing into a small stagnant pond !
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate in a sacred event and take holy dips in the powerful presence of a Brahmarishi Mohanji. You will also have opportunities to see, meet with, and take blessings from other spiritual Masters, who are accessible exclusively during the Kumbh Mela.
