It was a historical day for the Institute for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ZGNL, Ljubljana) on the 5th of May. Kids from high school and primary school participated in the international initiative “Fruit Plantation Drive” and plant trees in the school garden.
This initiative was inspired by world-renown humanitarian Mohanji who will also be a guest of honor at the event.
21 years ago a tragedy happened in Mohanji’s life that changed his life completely. He lost his 4-years old daughter Ammu. Later he established Ammucare Charitable Trust in Ammu’s name and helped the poor, hungry, and abandoned. People were asking him: “What will you invest in your charity? Do you have any wealth?” and he answered: “I will invest myself.” Today 21 years later Mohanji together with his big family all over the world tirelessly serves people in all possible ways. Every morning he starts the day with a thought: “What else can I give to the world?”.
The goal of “The Fruit Plantation Drive” is to plant 100,000 fruit trees all over the world that will provide fruits for the next generation of all species. Taking part in this initiative inspires kids to contribute to this world with positive action and brings inner richness to their lives.
We are looking forward to starting the drive in Ljubljana and making a contribution to the people of our society and beings of nature.
