Annual Diwali celebration at the House of Commons in Westminster

The function was organised by the Hindu Forum of Britain along with Rt Hon Bob Blackman MP and Lord Dholakia.

The event was a beautiful gathering at the Terrace Pavilion on the banks of the Thames, of MPs, Mayors, councillors, religious leaders, businessmen and eminent personalities from the UK community. 

The programme consisted of prayers, a flute recital, Indian classical dance, bhajans and  speeches from Rt Hon Bob Blackman, Lord Dholakia, Rt Hon Theresa Villiers MP, Her Excellency Nimisha Madhvani, High Commisioner of Uganda and various other eminent speakers.

The Hindu Forum of Britain’s  commemorative brochure displayed  adverts on ACT Foundation, Mohanji Foundation, Success Empowered and Ahimsa the Vegan Cafe. A standee of ACT Foundation was also displayed and a brochure of the ACT Foundation 20th Anniversary commemorative brochure presented to Trupti Patel the president of the Hindu Forum of Britain.

The event offered a wonderful opportunity for networking and communicating the wonderful work of ACT and Mohanji Foundations and we look forward to build on those relationships in the near future.
