Pranapratishtha Ceremony at MCB UK
The Pranapratishtha ceremony happened for two days on the 15th and 16th of June, 2023.
June 15th 2023, saw the first full day of ritual preparations for the Pranapratishtha of the Shirdi Sai Baba, Lord Dattatreya and Lord Ganesha idols at the MCB in the UK. Mohanji was present for the full ceremony alongside the core UK team, many of which made up the group of eleven mandatory yajamans, who are the puja participants designated to help fully embed the energy and blessing power of the ritual.
The ceremony involved pujas to Lord Ganesh, Bhumi Ma, the Navagraha and various other forms of the Mother Goddess. All of these pujas were designed to lay a preparation of blessings for the main event on the second day, where the deities will be brought to life and infused with the power of life.
After the main ceremony, all participants were served a delicious lunch and then allowed to have free time to relax, talk or help with the volunteering effort.
On the second day, the life force installed and actively awakened within the idols of Shirdi Sai Baba, Lord Dattatreya and Lord Ganesha. In other words, these idols are as alive as the Great Beings they represent!
Through the combination of different mantras and various other ritual methods, each deity was first consecrated, energetically charged by Mohanji and then offered mahabhishekam. The Pranapratishtha ceremony concluded with a powerful midday Sai Baba Aarti by the officiating Priest and former Chief Priest of the Sai Baba Temple in Shirdi, Sulakhe Maharaj.
Later in the afternoon, the Mohanji UK Team honoured various people who helped the MCB reach this point. Among those honoured were the core team who helped to find the property originally and the team of volunteers and local builders who have been developing the MCB into its present form. This honouring was also weaved in with spontaneous, humorous and invaluable moments of Satsang with Mohanji, who also presented each honoree with a miniature statue of Shirdi Sai Baba.
The evening concluded with a book signing/meet and greet session with Mohanji and then the evening Aarti to Sai Baba. From the two latter Aartis of the day, it was patently clear that the Pranapratishtha was successful—Baba’s presence is now very much alive, available and His Grace is flowing abundantly at the MCB!
Overall, the Pranapratishtha event at the MCB was an overwhelming success. During the session of honouring and sharing, many people spoke about how much welcoming love and care they felt from the Mohanji Family. Surely, this widely felt and experienced love is a testament to the essence of Mohanji’s work in the world, which is to restore the Dharmic values of unity, unconditional love, compassion and selfless service. The ultimate purpose of the MCB UK is to be a satellite of such values and a space of healing, rejuvenation and total transformation.
We hope and wish that the positive experiences of all those who attended the Pranapratishtha will help lay a foundation of blessings so that grace and abundance may continuously flow through the MCB, benefitting all devotees, volunteers, visitors and the world!
