Mohanji is awarded the ‘Mahaveer Award

Around the world, people have recognised Mohanji’s contribution to the path of Ahimsa, (non-violence) which advocates a cruelty-free, vegan lifestyle. On the 28th of June, Mohanji was recognised for his work in promoting non-violence and respect towards all beings by receiving the ‘Mahaveer Award’, presented by Mr Nitin Mehta, the founder of the Indian Vegetarian Society. This prestigious award is given to individuals who actively advocate against the suffering of animals.

About the ‘Mahaveer Award’

Mahaveer was the 24th Tirthankara (supreme preacher) of Jainism and a true apostle of Ahimsa. The award was inscribed – “Out of great compassion for all living beings, you are guiding the world towards the path of Ahimsa (non-violence) and a plant-based, meat-free lifestyle. We salute you.”

Mr Metha spoke highly of Mohanji’s work and acknowledged the gravity and commitment towards his work to make the world a brighter, more compassionate place. Mr Mehta also presented Mohanji with a book written by a renowned Master in the Jain lineage, and a book dedicated to India’s cultural and spiritual significance.
