Temple of Lord Ganesha

The Lord Ganesha Temple at Mohanji Datta Tapovan will be a dedicated space honouring Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the embodiment of wisdom. This sacred shrine provides devotees with a serene environment to seek blessings for success, prosperity, and spiritual guidance.

Designed to facilitate deep spiritual connection, the shrine will host various rituals and devotional practices that help individuals align with Lord Ganesha’s divine energy. These practices instil courage, clarity, and the strength to overcome challenges in life.

Time is happening because there’s space, and space is happening because energy is conglomerated. That energy – that awareness, is represented by Ganesha.

Mohanji, shares profound insights into Lord Ganesha’s significance. He explains that Ganesha’s elephant head symbolizes an elevated state of consciousness, transcending human limitations. The transformation from a boy created by Parvati to a deity with an elephant head represents the potential within every being to evolve beyond ordinary perception and attain divine awareness.

Ganesha is supreme consciousness, which is infinite, unmanifested and unfathomable. The vastness beyond space and time. The cause of all causes. The end of all manifestations. Ganesha is a reminder of what it means to be the timeless space. It is all forms, yet no forms. It is all reasons but still no reason. It is beyond comprehension hence revered before everything. Ganesha is our basis, beginning and balance.

Visitors to the Lord Ganesha Temple at Tapovan are welcomed to immerse themselves in its tranquil atmosphere, participate in sacred rituals, and experience the transformative power of Lord Ganesha’s grace.

Temple of Hanumanji (Anchaneya)

The Temple of Hanumanji at this Tapovan will be dedicated to Lord Hanuman (also called as Anjaneyar), the embodiment of unwavering devotion, absolute surrender, immense strength, and selfless service. Hanumanji represents fearless courage, pure love, and boundless energy, reminding seekers that true power lies in faith, humility, and dedication to the Divine

Hanumanji will be in his warrior form at this open-air temple, symbolizing his unshakable commitment to righteousness (Dharma), his immense physical and spiritual strength, and his readiness to protect and serve. Exposed to the elements—the sky, wind, earth, fire, and rain—this temple will reflect Hanumanji’s untamed spirit, reminding devotees that he is always present, ever watchful, and ready to guide those who call upon him with sincerity.

Avatars always happen for a universal purpose – a magnanimous, selfless purpose. Annihilation of evil and preservaation of dharma is usually the sole purpose of all avatars. When an avatar takes birth, the whole universe, and especially the higher beings existing at various locations of the universe, configure to aid the avatar to accomplish its mission. It is usual that many high souls, who are not usually earth bound, decide to take form on earth, to assist the avatar.

When the universe configured to create Lord Rama, with the amsa and power of Lord Vishnu, many souls who paticipated in that grand decision decided to come forth and aid the avatar. Lord Hanuman is one of them. A powerful entity with the highest of all siddhis (ashta siddhis and nava nidhis), assumed the role of a devotee of Rama and took physical form to assist Rama in his mission and to teach the world that the greatest of might becomes extremely effective if surrendered to the higher will of the Supreme Lord, which Lord Rama represented. When an extraterrestrial strength is transformed into supreme devosion, it instantly induces a liberated existence. Usually, superior strength leads to superior ego. This is what we see in our everyday life. In Hanumanji’s case, he became invincible due to His surrender and devotion to Rama, the Para Brahma. He guides us to surrender our ego at the feet of the Lord and lead an existence of complete surrender and faith. He is eternal in His body. He decided to stay on in the terrestrial plane, unaffected by maya, to bless, guide and protect lesser beings into the path of supreme liberation. He is a great siddha, a Great Master, yet he assumed the form of a monkey so that he would be ignored and left alone. This was also part of the divine design of Rama Avatar.

Temple of Lord Buddha

The Lord Buddha Temple at Mohanji Datta Tapovan is a sacred space dedicated to Gautama Buddha, the embodiment of wisdom, compassion, and enlightenment. This temple will serve as a sanctuary of peace, mindfulness, and self-realization, inviting seekers to embrace the path of Dhamma and inner stillness.

At the heart of the temple, Lord Buddha will be depicted in a meditative form, radiating profound serenity and stillness. His presence will inspire devotees to turn inward, transcend suƯering, and cultivate awareness, non-violence (Ahimsa), and compassion. This space will provide an ideal setting for silent contemplation, meditation, and spiritual reflection, allowing seekers to immerse themselves in the transformative power of Buddha’s teachings.

You don’t have to do anything, you only have to go within and integrate more and more. Connection inside starts with contemplation. You connection with yourself starts with contemplation, “Who am I? What am I? Why am I?” and that should spontaneously lead to meditation. It is not that you meditate first and then you connect. You ask yourself questions, next you integrate yourself, then it becomes meditation and awareness grows; awareness stabilises, and you become Buddha.

Temple of Lord Krishna

The Lord Krishna Temple at Mohanji Datta Tapovan is dedicated to Krishna, the embodiment of divine love, wisdom, and cosmic play (Leela). Krishna is not just a deity but a Supreme Consciousness, guiding humanity through love, devotion, duty, and selfless action. This temple will be a powerful space where seekers can connect with Krishna’s boundless grace, wisdom, and transcendental energy.

Krishna’s life and teachings, as revealed in the Bhagavad Gita, emphasize duty without attachment (Karma Yoga), devotion with surrender (Bhakti Yoga), and the ultimate realization of the Self (Jnana Yoga). In this sacred space, devotees will experience the joy, spontaneity, and deep spiritual wisdom that Krishna radiates.

Any avatar you can’t define, especially Krishna, because of his multidimensionality. Krishna is beyond comprehension. Remember that Krishna, whatever he delivered, had distinction. What he delivered in Kurukshetra, the battlefield, was distinct for that purpose – how to lead a life righteously, how to live a whole life with the aim of completion, a complete life. If you understand Bhagavad Gita, you’ll understand how to lead a life which is rooted in completion. What’s the importance of completion? Everything that you go through in life should make you complete so that you don’t want that anymore.

This temple will be a place of devotion, celebration, and deep spiritual connection, where devotees can offer prayers, chant Krishna’s mantras, and immerse themselves in his divine presence. Whether through bhajans (devotional songs), meditative reflection, or studying his teachings, seekers will find solace, guidance, and divine love in Krishna’s presence.

Everything Krishna did was practical – no theory. Theories were all like he explained about how to live a life – all those are fine but practical. Beyond spiritual, be practical. When you approach spirituality, when you approach life, always ask one question: “Is this practical for me?” If something isn’t practical for you, you should have the guts and courage to say – not my cup of tea. Even if it’s given by your most respected person, you say, “I can’t handle this. This is not within my capacity. I am not tuned, oriented or capacitated to handle this.” Very important. Likewise, if you look at Krishna, he always came when called. He didn’t walk in and say, “Can I help you?” It’s a clear sign of stabilized avatar, a very stable avatar. This all makes him always complete.

At Mohanji Datta Tapovan, the Lord Krishna Temple will stand as a symbol of divine love, wisdom, and liberation, inspiring seekers to live a life of joy, faith, and fearless surrender to the Supreme.

It is the essential life in all creations. It is Shiva. It is the moving and the immovable, it is the immortal within all mortals, it is the vastness within the limitedness, it is the Father, the Source. It is the dispassionate witness. It has no beginning or end. It never began and it never ends. It is Shiva.

It is the Source of desires, yet it has no desires.
It is the Source of sounds, yet it is silence.
It is the Source of elements, yet it has no dependency on them.
It is the Source of time, yet it is timeless.
It is the All Space, yet it is unfathomable space-less space,
complete and full, beyond fullness.
It is the soul of the fire, water, air, earth, space, suns and galaxies,
yet it is independent from all of it.
It never gives or takes.
It is never born or has death.
It is expansion, bliss and beauty.
It is unexplainable.
It is Shiva.

Temple of Shirdi Sai Baba

The Shirdi Sai Baba Temple at our Tapovan will be a sacred space dedicated to Shirdi Sai Baba, a revered saint known for his universal teachings and miraculous deeds. Seekers visit this temple to immerse themselves in rituals and prayers, seeking to connect with Sai Baba’s divine energy, which fosters peace and harmony in their lives.

Mohanji, emphasizes the importance of forming a deep, authentic connection with spiritual masters like Sai Baba. He teaches that true masters transcend their physical forms, and through pure awareness, one can establish a connection that surpasses the physical realm, linking directly to supreme consciousness. Mohanji also highlights that unwavering faith is essential in forming a profound bond with the guru, as it aligns the thoughts of the master and disciple, deepening their spiritual relationship.

Shirdi Sai Baba represents the master of current times. He was living as a Muslim fakeer, but he was not bound by any religion. So today, in this whole confused state of religious nature or  confusion connected to religions, Shirdi Baba stands tall as somebody who’s beyond all religions. He was loved by everybody, accepted by everybody, respected by everybody as a unique, powerful, and stable master. In today’s time, we need to understand the difference between religion and spirituality. Shirdi Baba is a beacon of light, a towering personality in the path of spirituality where your connection is with yourself while religion is a road map, so you can follow a religion or not follow a religion still you are yourself. So here you’re exploring yourself, understanding yourself, respecting yourself, accepting yourself, and connecting to yourself in a stable way. Shirdi Sai Baba was living about 100 years ago but is still alive in this world actively. He’s tangible, so there is a message to give to this world.

This temple will be open to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the serene environment, engage in devotional practices, and experience the transformative power of Sai Baba’s blessings.

Temple of Mahavatar Babaji

The Mahavatar Babaji Temple at our Tapovan will be a sacred space dedicated to Mahavatar Babaji, the immortal master of the Kriya Yoga tradition. His presence transcends time, guiding sincere seekers toward inner transformation, self-realization, and liberation. Babaji represents the highest state of spiritual evolution, silently working for the upliftment of humanity.

This temple will be a fully enclosed structure with walls and a roof, providing a serene and protected environment for deep devotion and contemplation. Designed to reflect the sacredness of Babaji’s presence, the temple will oƯer a peaceful space for seekers to connect with his energy, receive his grace, and experience his profound silence. Adjacent to the temple, a dedicated meditation hall will serve as a space for spiritual practices, silent contemplation, and Kriya Yoga. This hall will provide a tranquil atmosphere where visitors can immerse themselves in meditation, aligning with Babaji’s teachings of inner stillness and spiritual discipline. Mahavatar Babaji is deeply connected to Kataragama in Sri Lanka, the powerful spiritual centre known for its divine energy and as the abode of Lord Murugan. Babaji had his gurukul days at Kataragama with Sage Bhoganathar, and performed intense penance in the mystical caves of Kathiragama, attaining higher states of consciousness. Even today, many seekers feel his presence in this sacred land, drawing inspiration from its spiritual vibrations. The Mahavatar Babaji Temple at Mohanji Datta Tapovan resonates with this connection, creating a space where seekers can experience his guidance, grace, and transformative presence.

Bhoganathar was clear that Babaji is an Avatar of Lord Muruga, son of Shiva. He was an Avatar, and it was just like Sandipani Maharshi knowing that Lord Krishna was an Avatar. There was nothing to teach him – he already knew everything. But to keep the Tradition going, they a‚ended with the Gurus and the normal path of learning. But they were all enlightened by birth. They were all Avatars. Just like Adi Shankara. When Sage Bhoganathar, the great Siddha, wanted to make the idol of Lord Muruga in the temple of Palani, Babaji was his model. Lord Muruga is called Kumara. He’s not growing beyond sixteen. He arrested his growth at sixteen. And that you can see in the Nath Tradition very distinctly, which I’ll explain later. Bhoganathar combined the 9 poisons in a particular order, and created the idol of Lord Muruga based on Babaji because he is the Avatar. There was no other model needed to create Muruga. The 9 poisons were mixed together in such a way to cure every disease – all diseases. Even now, if you go to the temple of Palani, they do abhisheka. They pour milk over the idol and they give you the milk. That is supposed to take away all the toxins from the system.

The Mahavatar Babaji Temple at Mohanji Datta Tapovan will stand as a beacon of purity, transformation, and divine consciousness, welcoming all who seek the path of truth and self-realization. It will be a place where devotees and spiritual aspirants can experience deep peace, recharge their inner energy, and walk the path of Babaji’s eternal wisdom.

Visit this sacred temple to experience the presence of Mahavatar Babaji and awaken the light of Kriya Yoga within.

Temple of Lord Dattatreya

The Dattatreya Temple at this Tapovan will be a unique and sacred space dedicated to Lord Dattatreya, the embodiment of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. Unlike traditional temples, this shrine will be open to the elements, with no enclosing walls or roof—allowing Lord Dattatreya to be in direct communion with nature. Exposed to the sky, sun, wind, ether, and rain, this open space symbolises the boundless nature of divinity and the oneness of all existence.

As the eternal master of the Raja Yoga path, Lord Dattatreya represents the perfect union of the physical and spiritual realms. He teaches through silence and the wisdom of nature, guiding seekers beyond structured rituals toward direct experience and self realization.

As infinity, Lord Dattatreya is unfathomable. We can’t even explain Him, and though we can assume, we can’t understand. He is the guru of all gurus – the Supreme Guru. He represents the whole created universe and the uncreated universe, which has boundaries that we don’t know. There’s no boundary. So vast, so expanded. And an incarnation which represents that – how do you define it? We cannot define it -it’s very difficult to define. But Dattatreya is in everybody. When we think about Dattatreya, we immediately think about nature. Dattatreya is in nature. When we start seeing the soul aspect of every being, and when we recognize the life in everything that we see around us, we can see Datta. Dattatreya represents that – an avadhoota completely occupied by himself, within himself. He exists as a beacon of light or a roadmap to eternity. He is eternity incarnate.

Rooted in detachment, enlightenment, and universal consciousness, the Raja Yoga path invites seekers to transcend limitations and embrace inner harmony. The open-air shrine serves as a powerful reminder that true divinity is without barriers—accessible to all who seek with a pure heart.

It is not easy to understand Datta; it is very difficult. He delivered the Dasha Mahavidya or the ten great practices to Parashurama. He delivered them – just like that. He can deliver everything because he’s knowledge incarnate. He’s everything; all things are him. All knowledge is him. So he’s abundance, Datta is abundance. And Datta is not just a guru. He is a guide, and he is a companion. He is like all avadhootas – totally occupied with their inner world, or totally occupied in Divine Consciousness. There is no world outside for them. So when we look at them like that, we become them. We have to become them to know them. And when we become them, all our identities vanish. We become totally free. Datta is freedom. Datta is purity. Datta is continuity. Datta has no birth and no death. Datta is everything.

Visit the Dattatreya Temple at Mohanji Datta Tapovan to experience this profound connection with Lord Dattatreya in the embrace of nature.
