Mohanji Datta Tapovan
The Mohanji Datta Tapovan is the ‘Mohanji Centre of Benevolence (MCB) in Sri Lanka. This Tapovan will provide a sanctuary for peace, spirituality, and selfless service, fostering holistic growth and empowerment. Rooted in Mohanji’s universal teachings, it will serve as a space for self-discovery, inspiring individuals to cultivate inner awareness, kindness, and unity while contributing to the well-being of society.
Every MCB helps a lot of people to stabilise themselves. I wish these MCBs give stability to the people, that’s exactly what the world needs today, and what’s missing in today’s life. People are running and chasing but often confused, not knowing what to do and where to go. So, these MCBs should become a platform for people to come, practice, and stabilise. Once they’re stable, their family is stable. Once the family is stable, the society is stable. So, one of the biggest gifts you can give in this time is stability to the people.

Only when somebody connects to themselves, they can be stable. If they connect to a maer or an ideology or a book or an idol outside, there’s no guarantee they can be stable. But if they start accepting themselves, stabilising in themselves, then only a person becomes stable. Otherwise, they will always be needing something else. If you need anything else outside of you, then it’s always a gap in connection. It’s important that they start feeling themselves, understanding themselves, connecting with themselves, and searching inside, not outside. So, for all that, this MCB will become a platform, it’ll help.
Guiding Principles
Life is all about experiences. When you see a picture, you have a feeling. But when you reach that space, you have that experience. So, I would recommend coming here, feeling the space, experiencing the energy here, and then go home. Feel what you’ve collected, stabilize it, and come back often whenever you can so that you have an integral link with this space. The space is fully energised and the space is offering a lot of stability by itself.

Spanning 9 acres of pristine land, Tapovan is located in Kithulgala, approximately 90km (2.5- hour drive) from Colombo International Airport.
The land is blessed with a serene stream along its western border and a natural rock system to the east, just 300 meters from the Kelani Ganga River, which originates from Sri Pada, the holiest mountain of Sri Lanka.
