Mohanji participated in the Sant Sansad 2025, a grand event that brought together saints from various traditions. The conclave was organised by Network 10 channel to deliberate on the essential principles of Sanatana Dharma, raise awareness of its importance for Bharat and the world, and also shine a light on the significance of the upcoming Mahakumbh.
In his short powerful speech, Mohanji emphasised how Sanatana Dharma was about the essential rules of existence and beyond religion. He explained how Sanatana Dharma was the basis for a tolerant and accepting society that allows all faiths and religions to coexist peacefully with mutual respect. He also highlighted the critical issue of the ongoing hate and genocide against minorities in Bangladesh and urged people to speak up in support of those affected. He spoke about the global campaign #BangladeshStopHate and the peaceful Om March planned on 27th December in The Hague, Netherlands – the seat of the International Court of Justice.
The Sant Sansad event was a powerful collaboration of saints from across the nation and across faiths, and served as an effective precursor to the Mahakumbh Mela at Prayagraj, the world’s largest human congregation.
Q: (in Hindi)
Mohanji: The main problem in Sanatana Dharma is that we don’t nobody knows Sanatana Dharma. Nobody knows. People think it’s Hinduism. Hinduism is not Sanatana Dharma. Hinduism has come out of Sanatana Dharma. Jainism came out of Sanadhan dharma as the basic ground rule of existence.
Creation happened because of Sanathana Dharma. Or, basically, Sanathana Dharma means dharma with which the whole universe is made. It is nobody’s business. It has no author. There is no scripture.
No author. It has not been made by some people. This understanding is not there in the world. We have to take it to the world like that.
And the second aspect, when the Bangladesh issue was happening, Sushilji Maharaj noticed.
“Sarva Dharma Samvaad” (सर्व धर्म संवाद in Sanskrit, which means “Dialogue of All Religions” or “Dialogue of Universal Faiths”) is part of it.
Nobody, not many people knew there was a massacre going on in Bangladesh.
In the name, just chanting om. No other word. Om.
And there are a lot of people coming together, on the hashtag Bangladesh stop hate (#Bangladeshstophate). Sarva Dharma Sanstuddh is part of it, and, Sushilji Maharaj can explain further also.
But the thing is that we have never listened to what Bangladesh is telling us. Right? People in Bangladesh are asking, “Do you really care about us?”
Because we’ve been speaking to people. I said, are you really caring? Then why is it not showing? Show it that we care. And it has to come from the government. Simple thing I can tell you.
If the ambassador of India visits the temples of Bangladesh or churches of Bangladesh or, Buddhist shrines of Bangladesh, it shows that we care. Nobody has shown any kind of care, and people are dying as we speak.
And it’s like somebody gives a hashtag saying that, it’s blasphemy and the whole village is destroyed! Somebody puts on social media, there has been a blasphemy on the prophet and the entire village is destroyed!
People are raped and killed. Women are raped and killed. Happening now. So there is this hashtag Bangladesh stop hate (#Bangladeshstophate); this is going on now. And on 27th December, I wish all of you participate in that in front of the hit court in The Hague.
Like that, we have to unite. Now this is the time to unite. We have we are all ones of certain segments of Sanatana Dharma or the Hindu path.
But it is time we all come together now. We can’t be fragmented like this because in the world there are so many people who do not know that we exist.
We care. And they are sometimes confused about what are you trying to do. Are you trying to propagate something or are you trying to hide something?
We don’t have anything to hide. We have to be everywhere and we have to be in everybody and we have to talk to everybody and bring everybody together. The moment Sanatana Dharma goes from here, secularism is also gone.
There is no secularism now in Bangladesh as we speak. There was Sanatana Dharma there. Now it’s going and no secularism. No tolerance. We have to understand the truth very clearly. Then only we will know where we stand.
And while we are talking, the sand is going from under our feet.
Q: What is the reason?
Mohanji: The reason is, nobody is connected and nobody is nurtured. Right from independence, we have never been taught about the great masters of our time.
There are only two types of people who have been great great in in in the whole world. One is one of the types of people who wanted nothing from earth, the great masters. Then on the other side are the people who gave themselves to the earth.
Only these two types of great people have existed in the world, but nobody knows them. Nobody talked about them. Nobody speaks about them now.
But now people are slowly waking up to this idea of the great masters of our path and all of us here are representing some of them.
We have all come from a grand tradition. That doesn’t show because we are not united. We are actually fragmented. And that fragmenting, i.e. lack of unity is reflected as anarchy in the world.
Q: (in Hindi)
Mohanji: Absolutely. I’ll answer in English. You know, first and foremost, we should not be apologetic. It’s not Hindu. It’s about harmony. It’s about ahimsa. And I always believe in what Krishna said because Krishna set the trend for Kali Yuga.
The one man who set the trend for Kali Yuga was Krishna. He said those who practice adharma those who practice adharma, those who support those who practice adharma, and those who keep quiet when adharma is happening are all adharmees.
“Those who practice adharma those who practice adharma, those who support those who practice adharma, and those who keep quiet when adharma is happening are all adharmees.“
He told this to Bishma. So this is exactly what we should remember. If we keep quiet today, we are adharmees, we are supporting adharma.
We must wake up now. This is a wake-up call. Bangladesh is really a wake-up call. We cannot think that this is not in our courtyard. It is in our courtyard. It is definitely our issue.
