What is Happiness Worth?

My beloveds

We wake up and run each day, to catch up with life. Precious moments are passing by. Stress is building up. We learn to hate more than we remember to love. We blame others for our own follies and create endless lists of enemies in our lifetimes.

Truth is often misunderstood while masks are respected. We keep building relationships with masked faces and time after time, we get disillusioned as the masks prove false with time.

We wake up and sleep in ignorance. We sleep inside our concepts, fears, phobias, words and opinions. We wake up every morning, but never wake up in life. Our problems originated within us and not with others, even though we conveniently blame others.

This is sheer ignorance. Where are we going wrong? Perhaps it is time to ask this question to yourself. What is real and what is fake? Am I faking at all? What in me is real? These questions may help you in times ahead.

We are waking up and running after achievements, compelling commitments and seeming responsibilities, which are often acquired more out of ignorance than an inherited inevitability. This is especially so pertaining to our relationships. Everything in life is relative. Everything is temporary. Everything changes.

Our relative responsibility should be definitely based on our actual capacity and not as per the positioning of the mind, based on external comparisons. (Usually with others, which adds to stress). Perhaps a few thoughts in this area might help you to streamline your life ahead.

Am I over-doing it? Am I truly possessive about people, places and materials? Am I doing what I HAVE to do or what I LOVE to do? (In the context, the importance is always on what you HAVE to do rather than what you love to do) What am I chasing? Am I realistic? Am I just emotional and boring to other people?

Am I just being judgmental when it is actually none of my business? Am I clear-headed or is my mind embalmed with emotions? Is my expectation becoming taller than Mount Everest in terms of life relationships? Am I binding people with expectations? Am I free?

We wake up and enter the “pre-cast” stables of our own existence. The walking space is pre-determined by our own mind. We elbow each other for more space. But, the world is a mirror. It only gives you what you chose initially.

Then our minds blame others for lesser space within oneself. Ignorance! Non-understanding! We created our own stables. We created our own existence. We created ourselves.

If your existence is relative, if your level of external dependency is high, if you do not have an absolute existence, you are NOT FREE – irrespective of whether you are spiritual or not, according to you!

Am I Free? This is the billion dollar question. When entering this life, you were. When exiting from this life, you could be. Are you free NOW? Why? Why Not? This is a question or a provocation for self-enquiry.

This is a very important one too. One tip which may help your thoughts ahead – If your existence is relative, if your level of external dependency is high, if you do not have an absolute existence, you are NOT FREE – irrespective of whether you are spiritual or not, according to you!

What is HAPPINESS worth?

Happiness is a state of mind. If happiness means inconvenience to others, if our happiness depends on others’ possessions, materials or even love, can we be really happy? If our happiness means the torture or death of our fellow beings or species on earth? If it means denial of something to others? If it means selfish pursuits?

If it means ignorance, possessiveness and controlling others for our pleasure? Does our happiness include self-torture, mind-induced isolation, blame games and depression? Are you really free from YOURSELF? What is Happiness worth? Even if you conquer something on earth, how long can you hold it? Does true happiness lie in GIVING unconditionally? Can we actually own anything on earth?

Then what are we chasing all the time from birth till death? What actually makes us happy? Is it our underlying and hidden character traits such as greed, sadism, cruelty, pessimism, insensitivity so on and so forth? Is it love and compassion and a rich heart?

You need not answer me. Rather, ponder over it and fine tune yourself. This needs introspection, contemplation and positive action. It would be worth it if you could make a conscious search within yourself and feel how it is working in your own life!

Selfishness, greed, suspicion, doubts, insecurities and hatred reduces us, our walking space, our peace of mind and even a good peaceful sleep at night. It contaminates our inner space and breeds diseases. It eventually makes us miserable.

Some food for thought –

It might be worth countering each negative thought with a positive action. When anger happens, do an act of kindness. When hatred happens, get involved in compulsive acts of kindness. When insecurities happen, feed the poor.

Take care of children from the streets. When doubts and dilemma take place in your inner space, feed the birds and animals, rescue and rehabilitate them from butchers or cruel owners. When anger is uncontrollable, indulge more and more in supporting forestation, plant trees, nurture them and help them grow.

As they grow, your patience will also grow. Compulsive acts of kindness have far reaching effects. When you identify a set of people with negative thoughts, words and actions, collectively buy a space and start a sanctuary for poor, abandoned and rescued animals and birds. Feed them, treat them and nurture them.

Play soothing, loving, melodious music to animals, birds, plants and listen to it with them. Feel the unconditional energies of the birds, animals, plants and nature. Nurture positivity. Remember, hatred binds while love liberates. We may not understand the constitution of another. We need not understand too.

Yet, love can certainly work as a bridge between constitutions. Love is the remedy. Love heals. Love nurtures. Love protects. Love rejuvenates. Love expands. Love is all we need.

Love-Happiness

I am just showing an objective mirror. I am just showing you some road signs. Your choice and freedom to witness or ignore is well respected.

I love you anyways.

Thank you Mohanji for this insight & Happy Birthday !! I will cherish this (birthday) gift received from the Guru . . . .

  4. I read this message by Mohanji in Bless The World yahoo group( https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/blesstheworld ) as an email by Mohanji, a few hours after it was published; but during the time that He was writing it, He was giving me the EXACT thoughts. 🙂 even sentence by sentence these thoughts were coming to me when I was in the kitchen.. I have to admit that initially it felt very cool to have these intricate realizations which were also clearing a lot of confusions. Felt so ‘clean’.
Knowing none of these were my own anyway because I’m not capable of thinking such elevated thoughts and how Mohanji’s consciousness gives you thoughts and guidance..(the purest, clearest, most selfless thoughts we get are His); I was enjoying feeling so blessed by a living Master.. who resides in us as our Antaryami.
After couple of hours when I read His message ‘What is Happiness Worth’ which is published as a blog above, I was totally floored! 🙂 Its seemed uncanny! As if He telepathically transferred the message to me or His thoughts were getting transferred while He was writing. This has happened many times before with other blogs or during many occasions..but this time it was so accurate that I honestly freaked out.. His answers rest within us but still when we ask Him something.. before He answers physically, His non physical guidance comes 🙂 Truly .. time and space mean nothing when we connect to His unlimited consciousness..its so beautiful, just like a download. 🙂
When I shared this with Him, He confirmed it and said that it’s another dimension of unity consciousness <3 <3 <3
Thank You Our Most Loving Father for letting us be ONE with your consciousness.. for being with us night and day, guiding us.. physically.. and non physically. Love You infinitely, eternally…. May we always reside at your lotus feet..
