Maha Shivaratri Message 2022 | Mohanji
Om Namah Shivaya, Shivaya Namah Om.
Shivoham. We are indeed the consciousness; we are indeed Shiva.
Shiva, Shivaratri, Shivoham. We are indeed the Supreme in disguise or manifested as human beings. All the beings of this earth and beyond, of all the worlds, are Shiva; it is the same energy, the same power, the same indestructible force.
We have explained about Shivaratri in many past videos, so I’m not going to touch on those.
Significance of Shivaratri
Today, we will look at what is the significance of Shivaratri. From deep ignorance, of believing that we are this identity, we are this body, we are this name, this form, this particular existence, to the awareness that we are indeed beyond any forms, any names, any identification, and we are indestructible. We are even unknowable; we are supreme; we are Supreme Consciousness. This is Shiva.
To know this, recognise this, and connect to this, we do particular sadhanas- practices during the Shivaratri, which is worshipping or accepting the yogi within us. The yogi is always neutral, always divine and always all-encompassing. We are the universe, not just a unit.
To recognise the universe aspect within this unit, we connect to ourselves through practices on this day, the most conducive day of Shivaratri. The frequency and the vibration of this day- Shivaratri, is really suitable to perfect the yogi within us.
We are all Yogis. Unfortunately, we deluded ourselves, imagining that we are this form, identity, life, and existence; we are not.
We are indeed Shiva.
Mano buddhi ahankara chittani naaham
Na cha shrotrajihve na cha ghraana netre
Na cha vyoma bhumir na tejo na vaayuhu
Chidananda roopah shivoham shivoham.
Always in a state of bliss, always as the Source, exists Shiva and the same way our soul exists inside us- the electricity, the energy within us. Without any kind of fluctuation, without getting affected by anything around us, our soul remains within us. It’s not affected by emotions; it’s not affected by changes; it’s not affected by anything. That’s our true state: the body changes, the mind changes, thoughts change, life changes. Life continuously changes, but the soul does not change.
Connect to the Supreme Consciousness
This Shivaratri, let’s connect to the Supreme Consciousness aspect within us through chanting the mantras, feeling the truth within us, understanding and recognising our true state, and believing and accepting the Shiva within us.
Shiva is eternal, omnipresent; Shiva is unchangeable. Yesterday, today, tomorrow- Shiva remains. Shiva is not a body; Shiva is consciousness. Shiva is a state. We are indeed Shiva.
Happy Shivaratri
I wish you a great Shivaratri. May you always remain occupied in the thoughts of the Supreme within us, connect to it, and let that bring forth the brightness of awareness. Awareness of the consciousness that we are indeed Shiva, all of us- Shivoham. We are Supreme Consciousness, and we will always remain Supreme Consciousness. We are related. We are eternally related. We have no caste, creed, country, culture, colour, language, religious barriers; we are all one. We are indeed one. We are indeed parts of Shiva, Shivamshas.
We are supreme; we are eternal. We love each other. There is only one possibility- love; the world needs it today. Let us be bright lights. And let’s bring forth that brightness into this world.
Lots of love. Happy Shivaratri. Shivoham.
Om namah Shivaya, Shivaya namah Om. We feel this mantra in every cell of our body, in all the koshas – sheaths, in our prana, the Prana, Apana, Vyana, Udana, Samana, in all the movements inside, in the Ida, Pingala and Sushumna, in all the 72,000 nadis, in our veins, in our heartbeat, respiration, our brain, our stomach centre, and heart centre.
Feel Shiva everywhere, within us- continuously and consistently. Feel Shiva.
Shivoham, Shivoham, Shivoham. Om namah Shivaya.
