Mohanji and The Mohanji Foundation Honoured at The Vegan India Conference 2024
At the 3rd Vegan India Conference held on 6-7 July 2024 in Mumbai, Mohanji was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award as a Global Voice of Compassion. This recognition was for Mohanji’s tireless advocacy for a plant-based lifestyle, his efforts in speaking up for the rights of all beings, and for inspiring thousands worldwide to adopt a lifestyle of ahimsa, kindness, and compassion. Though Mohanji could not attend the event, he recorded a short acceptance video thanking the organizers for the honour and reiterating the value of compassion in everyone’s life.
Mohanji’s virtual talk commenced the proceedings of the VIC, setting an inspirational tone for the conference. In his impactful message, Mohanji emphasized the urgent need for humans to awaken and speak for beings who cannot. He urged individuals to be conscious of every choice and decision they make, considering the inherent costs to nature and other beings. He reiterated the importance of adopting ahimsa and compassion, highlighting their impact on collective consciousness and the overall frequency of Mother Earth.
The Vegan India Conference, organized by Vegan First, India’s pioneering online vegan portal, saw increased participation across all facets of the plant-based ecosystem in its 3rd edition. The Mohanji Foundation also participated wholeheartedly, as the cause of ahimsa and a cruelty-free lifestyle is very dear to Mohanji. Brochures explaining Mohanji’s stance on ahimsa and a plant-based lifestyle were included in the goodie bags given to every delegate.
Mohanji Foundation’s stall at the expo attracted a steady stream of visitors interested in learning about the Foundation, Mohanji Centres of Benevolence, and the Foundation’s activities within India and around the world. VIC’s guest of honour, Ms. Jacqueline Fernandes, visited the stall and was gifted Mohanji’s signature book, “The Power of Purity,” as well as the recently released book, “Baba.”
Mohanji Foundation CEO, Madhusudan Rajagopalan, participated in a panel discussion on the topic “Sacred Choices: How India’s spiritual heritage inspires modern veganism.” He shared experiences from the Mohanji Centres of Benevolence around the world, each a vegan sanctuary. By allowing people to experience a cruelty-free, conscious lifestyle where all beings coexist happily with respect, each centre reinforces the essential teachings of Sanatana Dharma.
Mohanji Foundation congratulates VIC and Vegan First for this successful conference and wishes them continued success in spreading the message of a cruelty-free plant-based lifestyle. This effort supports the transition from humankind to kind humans.
To quote Mohanji, “When we look at the world through the spectacles of kindness and compassion, all we see is a beautiful world; a world full of promises and hope.”
