Mohanji Wellness Walking
Mohanji Wellness Walking is a dynamic walking meditation which Mohanji introduced to the world in 2022. Its roots go back to ancient times when this superb technique was practiced by Indian mystics.
This exercise, done in the shape of Figure 8 (Infinity Symbol), can be practiced by anyone. It is a millennia-old method reintroduced by Mohanji for the purpose of achieving alignment of the energies in our body to complement health, immunity and awareness.
The Fundamentals
One easily gets distracted while walking in a straight line, or dizzy while walking in a circle, but walking in a continuous curve, towards and against Earth’s magnetic field, calms the mind, strengthens the inner witness, energizes the body and aligns the chakras. Constant shifting of the weight from ankle to foot is beneficial for the knees and joints.
Mohanji Wellness Walking can be practiced in the morning and/or in the evening (recommended time is 5am and 6pm), preferably with an empty stomach.
Make sure your Infinity Symbol is aligned North – South.
Walking along the Infinity Symbol clockwise towards the North activates the Sun meridian (Pingala Nadi). Upon returning to the middle, the curve of Infinity Symbol will naturally guide you anti-clockwise towards the South, which is excellent for the Moon meridian (Ida Nadi). This is how both sides of the brain get activated and after 20 minutes or so one spontaneously shifts into the Alpha state of mind.
The Technique
Start from the middle part of the Infinity Symbol and walk clockwise towards the North. Upon returning to the middle, continue walking anti-clockwise towards the South. Continue walking along the Infinity Symbol for 30 – 40 minutes.
Eyes should always remain focused one foot in front of your feet and never wander. Spine erect, neck slightly bent, chest open, shoulders straight. While walking, do a deep humming sound like a bumble bee focusing on your stomach region. On the inhale bloat the belly, on the exhale start humming.
After practicing Mohanji Wellness Walking, sit down for meditation and use the receptive Alpha state of mind, which spontaneously enters during this technique, for positive affirmations, blissful silence and connection with the infinite in you, your true Self.
