Mohanji at Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir, North Carolina: From Knowing to Being to Realizing
A Traditional Welcome and Gathering of Devotees
On 8th October 2026, Mohanji visited Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir of North Carolina in Cary for a special programme titled From Knowing to Being to Realizing. The visit followed an invitation from Mr. Anand Ramakrishna, President of the Mandir, who had travelled with Mohanji during the Kailash Manasarovar pilgrimage in August.
Mohanji received a traditional Purnakumbham welcome accompanied by Vedic chanting and offered arati to Sai Baba. More than 200 people attended the gathering, many of whom were meeting Mohanji for the first time. The programme also welcomed Mayor TJ Cawley of Morrisville and Ms. Amita Gupta, candidate for the Wake County School Board.
Mohanji on Discovering Our True Identity
During the satsang, Mohanji invited participants to look beyond names, roles and positions to recognise their true identity. He drew attention to the life energy within each person, encouraging a deeper understanding of existence beyond external identities and social definitions.
He explained how inner silence and contemplation can help individuals develop greater clarity and awareness. By turning attention inward, one can begin to understand oneself more deeply and approach life’s experiences with greater stability.
Dharma, Surrender and Freedom from Bondage
Mohanji also reflected on the illusion of ownership and how attachment to people, possessions and outcomes can create bondage. He emphasised the importance of performing one’s dharma sincerely while surrendering attachment to the results.
This approach, he explained, helps individuals reduce the karmic burdens created by expectations and attachment, allowing them to live with greater freedom and acceptance.
Spirituality in Everyday Life
An Evening of Reflection and Connection
The programme concluded with an engaging question-and-answer session, creating space for dialogue, reflection and shared learning.
Heartfelt gratitude was extended to Mr. Anand Ramakrishna, the Mandir team and the temple priests for their warm hospitality and for making this meaningful gathering possible.
