Mohanji Attends 12th International Day of Yoga Celebrations in Belgrade, Serbia
Celebrating the Timeless Wisdom of Bharat
On 21 June 2026, Mohanji attended the 12th International Day of Yoga celebrations at the Victor Monument in Kalemegdan Fortress, Belgrade, Serbia. The event was organised by the Embassy of India, in Belgrade, in the esteemed presence of H.E. the Ambassador of India to Serbia, Shri Abhishek Shukla, bringing together more than 200 participants, wellness enthusiasts to celebrate yoga and its enduring contribution to individual well-being and global harmony.
The Mohanji Foundation has participated in the Embassy’s International Day of Yoga celebrations every year, strengthening a valued collaboration built around a shared commitment to promoting the timeless wisdom and living traditions of Bharat across the world.
Mohanji Emphasises Yoga as a Journey of Self-Discovery
Addressing the gathering, Mohanji highlighted that yoga goes far beyond physical postures and superficial practices. He described yoga as a process of self-exploration and self-connection, encouraging individuals to look within and deepen their understanding of themselves.
Referring to Maharishi Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, Mohanji described them as a manual for understanding the entirety of our existence as spiritual beings. His message brought attention to yoga’s deeper purpose: moving beyond the physical dimension towards greater awareness, inner stability and a more meaningful connection with oneself.
The celebration offered an opportunity to share yoga not merely as a practice for physical health, but as a time-honoured tradition that can support personal growth, balance and a deeper understanding of life.
One Purpose, Shared Across Nations
Mohanji’s participation in international gatherings reflects an ongoing commitment to sharing the wisdom of Bharat with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Through yoga, meditation, service and collective engagement, these initiatives create spaces for connection and a deeper appreciation of universal human values.
The International Day of Yoga celebration in Belgrade was another meaningful step in this continuing effort to bring people together through the universal message of yoga and its potential to enrich individual lives and strengthen collective harmony.
