International Interfaith Conference Lucknow

Mohanji Calls for Unity, Respect and Action at 11th International Interfaith Conference in Lucknow

Faith Leaders Unite to Reimagine a More Inclusive World

On 24 and 25 July 2026, Mohanji joined faith leaders, dignitaries and changemakers in Lucknow for the 11th International Interfaith Conference, organised by City Montessori School in collaboration with Bharatiya Sarva Dharma Sansad. The conference was held under the theme, “Reimagining Our World Together: Placing Gender Equality at the Heart of Humanity.”

The gathering brought together representatives of diverse faiths, cultures and countries to explore ways to build a more inclusive and harmonious world, with gender equality and mutual respect at the centre of the discussion.

A Shared Vision of Interfaith Harmony

As part of the Bharatiya Sarva Dharma Sansad, led by Mahamandleshwar Shri Guruji Goswami Sushil Ji Maharaj, Mohanji joined fellow spiritual and faith leaders, including Haji Syed Salman Chishty. Their participation reflected a shared commitment to strengthening understanding, cooperation and respect across religious traditions.

The conference provided a platform for meaningful dialogue on humanity’s shared responsibilities and the role of faith leaders in fostering peace and social harmony.

Mohanji Highlights the Value of Uniqueness

During a panel discussion, Mohanji offered a perspective on gender equality that emphasised the importance of recognising and celebrating individual uniqueness. He observed that focusing solely on making everyone equal could sometimes overlook the distinct qualities and contributions each person brings to the world.

Speaking about womanhood, he highlighted the nurturing force embodied by women and their essential role in sustaining families, communities and society. He emphasised that a stable woman contributes to a stable society, making respect for women fundamental to humanity’s well-being.

Addressing educators, Mohanji encouraged schools to recognise the natural orientation and individuality of every child. Rather than encouraging constant comparison, education should nurture each child’s inherent strengths and enable them to contribute to society in their own unique way.

His message resonated with the vision of initiatives such as the World Womanhood Project and the Festival of Womanhood, which celebrate the dignity, strength and unique contributions of individuals.

From Dialogue to Collective Action

The conference reflected Mohanji’s emphasis on translating conversations into meaningful action. Stronger relationships among faith leaders can create opportunities for sustained cooperation and initiatives that promote peace and understanding.

The spirit of unity continued beyond the conference, with members of the Bharatiya Sarva Dharma Sansad visiting Deva Shareef Dargah, led by Haji Syed Salman Chishty. The visit offered a practical expression of interfaith harmony, bringing people together through shared experiences and human connection.

The gathering reaffirmed the importance of moving beyond differences to build a society rooted in mutual respect, friendship and collective responsibility.
