Mohanji’s Visit to Magic Planet: A Journey into the World of Magic and Empowerment

On January 7th, 2025, during his time in Trivandrum, Mohanji visited Magic Planet, a unique museum of magic founded by the renowned magician and philanthropist Gopinath Muthukad. This visit turned out to be a deeply heartwarming experience for everyone present.

The Vision Behind Magic Planet

Magic Planet, established in 2014, is not just a museum of magic but a hub of empowerment and education. The brainchild of Gopinath Muthukad, an internationally acclaimed magician with over 44 years of experience and more than 8,000 performances worldwide, this center was designed to preserve traditional Indian magic, uplift street performers, and inspire creativity in young minds. Beyond its magical spectacles, Magic Planet also serves a larger purpose by providing a platform for differently-abled and underprivileged individuals to discover and develop their talents in performing arts, computer skills, and more.

One of its standout initiatives is the Different Art Centre, where the differently abled are receiving empowerment and education to excel in diverse fields like singing, magic, and even technological skills. A particularly special moment during Mohanji’s visit was witnessing a young man with exceptional memory skills manage an entire library without relying on a computer.

Mohanji’s Reflections

Mohanji was deeply moved by the vision and work of Magic Planet. He remarked, “Magic is a play of illusion but real magic is transforming lives. Destiny may topple you, but sheer determination can rise you. The real magic is in getting up.” His words truly captured the essence of what this place stands for: the ability to transform challenges into opportunities and limitations into extraordinary capabilities.

A Magical Experience

The visit included magic shows, musical performances, and meeting the talented individuals who are part of this initiative. The tour extended to the various facilities where differently-abled individuals are trained, including areas dedicated to computer education and artistic performances.
