Mohanji In Conversation with Kavi Bhandari on Business World Wellbeing
1. What is the ‘Lion Mentality’ concept about?
The lion is not the fastest, strongest, or largest animal in the world—but a lion is a lion. When a lion attacks an elephant, the elephant shivers. An elephant can easily defeat a lion, but the elephant believes, “Oh, that’s a lion.” That is simply an attitude. So be lions in the world. Be determined. And don’t worry about something negative happening. Let negative or positive happen in life—good or bad—you are still the lion. So, walk that path; take those strides. Do not worry if others will criticise you. Let them have their opinions and notions about you. Some will like you; some will dislike you. That’s how the world behaves. Not everyone will like you anyway. How the world sees you is not your concern. What matters is how you see yourself. The usual chronology of karma is thought-word-action. Turn it around and make the first level action. Do it. Even if it fails, it’s okay. Let’s get up. Let’s walk.
2. What would be your message to the youth of today when it comes to spiritual awareness?
Spiritual awareness means recognizing you are a living, conscious being with energy inside you—life while it’s present, death when it leaves. With life, experience its full potential: don’t just eat, drink, fight, and die; cherish each moment’s variety so life feels complete. Aim for contentment through self-acceptance because money, relationships, status, or possessions cannot guarantee it. Do what is truly good for you without imposing on others. When content, you are effective; when effective, you are stable; and your stability supports your home and society. Don’t fixate on rituals; meditation hours and practices are personal. What matters is doing some good every day. Being good and doing good make life meaningful, bringing peace of mind and inner purity. Selflessness purifies, stabilises, empowers, and makes you shine. Follow the path that suits you, and don’t insist that others follow yours.
