Fifteen new fruit trees planted in Trnj as part of an international action

The Indian ambassador, the head of the City Office of Agriculture and Forestry, the chairman of the City Environmental Committee and the founder of the “ACT Foundation” project helped plant fruit trees in the courtyard of the school.

The Croatian part of the international project “Fruit Tree Plantation Drive” began in Trnj. Volunteers and representatives of the “ACT Foundation”, which organizes the action, donated 100 seedlings to Zagreb, and the first 15 fruit trees were planted in the courtyard of davorin Trstenjak Elementary School.

The opening ceremony of the action was also attended by Nj. E. Raj Kumar Srivastava, Ambassador of India to the Republic of Croatia, thanks to the founder of the “ACT Foundation”, P.K. Mohan, aka Mohanji. The ambassador expressed his happiness that such activities are carried out in schools, because they do good not only to society now, but also for generations to come.

– A month ago we organized an international conference “Yoga & Ayurveda” in Zagreb, which was so successful that we decided to do the same next year. All these activities bring our people closer together, because in the world we are all part of the same family , the ambassador concluded.

– I believe that this action is just the beginning in the City of Zagreb. We have 14 city gardens where fruit trees and trees can be planted , said Dejan Jaić, head of the City Office for Agriculture and Forestry.

The First Plant was assisted by the Ambassador of India, The Head of Jaić, Zorislav Antun Petrović, President of the City Environmental Committee and Mohanji, founder of the “ACT Foundation” who expressed support for all future embassy events and similar actions in Zagreb.

– Today we eat fruit from trees planted by our ancestors, and these fruit trees that we planted will feed future generations. This school now sets the standard for others. Mother Earth belongs to all and it is our duty to protect all beings on it , Mohanji concluded.
